The 2022 BLAST Premier North America Spring Showdown will take place April 27 to May 1 as an online event. The eight teams involved will be competing for the $67,500 prize pool, while the winner will qualify for the 2022 BLAST Premier Spring Final on June 15 in Lisbon, Portugal. The eight North and South American teams that make up the competition are FURIA, Team Liquid, Complexity, MiBR, GODSENT, paiN Gaming, Evil Geniuses and Sharks.

The NA edition of Spring showdown does not have the quality of the European edition, and that definitely shows in the tournament outright win betting markets with GG Bet. There are only two teams sitting under $10.00, being FURIA ($2.10) and Team Liquid ($2.75). Considering FURIA and Team Liquid are the only teams in this competition that are in the top 20 of the world rankings, highlights the lack of depth this event has on display. We at eSportBet.com are siding with the second favourite, Team Liquid, to take out the BLAST Premier NA Spring Showdown.

Team Liquid will enter this event with a world ranking of 13, climbing up from 59 back in February. The rise in their world ranking comes off the back of some very good performances in the ESL Pro League 15 (5th-8th) and the NA closed qualifier for IEM Dallas 2022 (1st). These performances are a direct result of the organisation going out and adding three new players to their roster. Team Liquid added both Josh “oSee” Ohm and Richard “shox” Papillon to the roster in January of this year, then they welcomed back an old face, Nick “nitr0” Cannella, who came back to CS:GO after a stint in the pro Valorant scene.

For Team Liquid to win this event they will have to beat paiN Gaming in their first best-of-three series, where Liquid own a 16-1 win on the April 12 in a best-of-one match. They will then face the winner of the Complexity vs MiBR BO3 series; Liquid lost 2-0 in their last BO3 against Complexity, but they have not played MiBR in the last six months. There is an expectation that Team Liquid will meet FURIA in the final on May 1, but we all know that not everything goes to plan in the CS:GO esports world. Team Liquid are currently on a six-game win streak and will be looking to extend that to nine games by winning the 2022 BLAST Premier NA Spring Showdown.
