If this fixture was played a couple of weeks ago, we would expect a close bout, but after seeing Damian “daps” Steele and co. lose to Chaos Esports Club (0-2) last Tuesday in the fashion they did, we cannot view Gen.G as a worthy opponent for Evil Geniuses.

EG continue to build their renown as the strongest North American CS:GO team. While they have only defeated 100 Thieves (2-0) and Cloud9 (2-0) so far in this competition, both fixtures were very one-sided.

As it stands now, there are only a few NA teams that can compare to Evil Geniuses. Unfortunately for Gen.G, they are not one of them.

The culminating day of the second week at ESL Pro League Season 12 Europe will begin with a clash between Ninjas in Pyjamas and Team Spirit, who have both had their flashes of greatness throughout their early fixtures.

Team Spirit forced Fnatic to three maps (1-2), claimed a well-deserved win over Team Vitality (2-1) and did not disappoint with their three-map series against Complexity Gaming (1-2) on Wednesday. Ninjas in Pyjamas lost both of their opening fixtures against Vitality (1-2) and Complexity (0-2), although they gained some traction with an impressive 2-1 win against mousesports.

NiP and Spirit last met way back in March during ESL Pro League Season 11 Europe, where the Swedes won 2-0 without any real difficulties. Having said that, there is reason to believe this match will be much closer.

Spirit have looked much better in recent weeks, but they’re still slightly inconsistent when facing top-tier teams. NiP should win, and a 2-1 correct score bet is worth considering.

TEAM VITALITY vs FAZE CLAN CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

CS:GO Betting Odds:

Vitality $1.38 at GG Bet | FaZe $3.14 at GG Bet

While there is no hiding the fact that FaZe Clan lost to mousesports, Astralis and Fnatic in clean sweeps, they were unlucky not to win at least one of those series. They lost a few crucial rounds, which snowballed into humiliating losses, so we don’t feel like their record so far fairly reflects FaZe’s quality.

Team Vitality have one win from their three games so far in the ESL Pro League and managed one map in each of their losses against Astralis and Spirit. Nevertheless, the French squad does not inspire much confidence, mainly because they are individually inconsistent.

We would not risk backing FaZe to claim the W, but we have even less confidence in Vitality to come away with a 2-0 win. A 2-1 win for Vitality seems the most likely outcome.

In the OWL 2020 playoffs losers’ bracket, we will see a clash between two teams known for their questionable coaching and somewhat inconsistent performances. That was clearly seen last week when Guangzhou Charge’s poor execution against Seoul Dynasty earned them a 0-3 loss, whereas New York Excelsior battled against Chengdu Hunters (3-2) in the play-ins but showed a bit in their subsequent loss to Shanghai Dragons (1-3).

The Excelsior are deserving favourites and their dive-heavy comps should work wonders against the Charge, who are seemingly still searching for their style. Having said that, this match could be much closer than the odds suggest.

While the Charge struggled with their execution against the Dynasty, they still had their flashes of greatness. That is enough to give us hope that they can put up a strong fight this Saturday and make New York work for the win.

Seoul Dynasty will hope they can cause an upset and derail Shanghai Dragons this Saturday in the winners’ finals of the Asian OWL playoffs. While the odds are heavily stacked against them, the Dynasty are not to be underestimated following their commanding 3-0 win over Guangzhou Charge in the semis.

The Dragons made it through the semi-finals with relative ease in the end, although New York Excelsior made them earn it by forcing a 3-3 draw on King’s Row-Hybrid as well as three-round series on both Oasis-Control and Lijiang Tower-Control.

The Dynasty will want to mimic what NYXL did in the semis, which means pressuring Shanghai’s back line and disrupting their positioning. That might be a tough win condition to execute, but we are confident the Korean side have enough flexibility in their roster to cause serious damage and steal a couple of maps off the Dragons.

No one should be surprised to see Philadelphia Fusion and San Francisco Shock make it this far. While it’s way too early to call for certain, it’s likely these teams will meet once more in the North American grand finals.

If we put these two stacked rosters side-by-side, however, it’s the Fusion who are the superior team in the current meta because they play with much more confidence and stronger fundamentals.

We expect to see Philly dictate the tempo from start to finish in this one. Unless San Fran can show us something new and spring an upset, the Fusion should close this one out 3-1 or 3-2.

These teams will meet for the ninth time this year and the second time since August. The last time they clashed was during the OMEGA League, where Vikin.gg locked in a 2-1 win.

Out of their eight head-to-head bouts in 2020, Vikin.gg have won seven series and 15 maps out of 18 played. They are also 7-3 from their last 10 matches in all competitions, which includes 2-1 wins against Team Liquid, FlyToMoon and Ninjas in Pyjamas. Unique are 6-4 from their last 10, although they played significantly weaker sides.

Even though neither team have played a single official match in over a week, we are confident in backing Vikin.gg due to their excellent record against second-tier teams such as Unique.

Danil “Dendi” Ishutin’s Dota2 esports project has yet to find any serious traction. While there is always hope B8 can improve and establish themselves as a solid tier-two team, the current situation does not look too bright.

Ninjas in Pyjamas have failed to reach the heights many expected they would, mostly due to their inconsistency. While they’ve faced a lot of stronger teams in the last couple of weeks, there is no hiding from the fact that NiP have won only three of their last 10 matches.

Normally we would side with NiP, but we like the outsiders at the +1.5 handicap. These teams have been inactive for the past week and also have not met before, meaning NiP can’t know what Dendi and co. will throw at them.
