Team GO and Karmine Corp are set to lock horns on Friday, September 1, in the semifinals of EMEA Masters 2023 Summer. It’ll mark their first meeting since Week 7 of the La Ligue Fran?aise (LFL) 2023 Summer regular season, when Karmine Corp won 1-0.
Following a ninth-place finish at LFL 2023 Spring, Karmine Corp overhauled their roster. The French LoL esports team signed three new players in jungler Jakub “Cinkrof” Rokicki, ADC Caliste “Caliste” Henry-Hennebert, and support Rapha?l “Targamas” Crabbé, who immediately put KC back on track.
With a new roster, Karmine Corp crushed the LFL Summer, won the regular season and claimed their second LFL trophy with a 3-0 sweep of BK ROG Esports. At EMEA Masters 2023 Summer, KC had a slow start and finished the group stage with a 3-3 record, but they bounced back with a commanding 3-0 sweep of DenizBank ?stanbul Wildcats in the first round of the knockout stage.
So even though KC have had their ups and downs this season, they looked like their former selves on Tuesday, and if they can keep playing at this level, there’s no reason to believe Karmine Corp can’t win their fourth EMEA Masters title on Friday.

Team GO (formerly GamersOrigin) have been far more consistent than KC but haven’t won a single trophy. Still, a silver medal from the LFL 2023 Spring and a third-place finish at LFL 2023 Summer command some respect, although it’s not like Team GO lack talent.
The LFL’s third seed played well in the group stage and truly put themselves on the map with a 3-2 reverse sweep against SK Gaming Prime on Tuesday. One good game doesn’t mean much, but this was just one of many excellent performances Team GO have produced this split.
On paper, Karmine Corp look like the better team, mainly because they have a much stronger top side. Still, Onurcan “Ragner” Aslan is a solid weak side player, so this shouldn’t affect Team GO too much.
Elsewhere, there’s not much to separate the two LFL rivals, so it’s fair to say that Karmine Corp shouldn’t be priced at just $1.44. KC should probably win, but at $2.62, we’re getting more value on Team GO.
