Computer hardware brand AMD and BOOM Esports have signed a partnership agreement. Although AMD is not in the habit of partnering with esports organizations, the company has inked a deal with one of the strongest organizations in Southeast Asia to support the evolving competitive gaming scene.

The deal will see AMD provide hardware support for BOOM for their training sessions as well as competitive matches. The company will also gain more exposure through its upcoming event, AMD Gaming 2022.

In return, BOOM Esports will help the hardware company create content and will make appearances at selected AMD events to boost the brand’s visibility in the esports scene.

Although BOOM Esports have active rosters across several esports game titles including Dota 2, Wild Rift, PUBG Mobile, and Valorant, the partnership will only cover their Dota 2 and Valorant teams.

Speaking on the partnership, Peter Chambers, the managing director of AMD Asia Pacific & Japan, said the collaboration aims to show how technology can elevate esports talent.

“The sponsorship with BOOM Esports is an exciting milestone in AMD’s ongoing journey to raise awareness within the gaming community and support the growth of esports in the Asia Pacific region,” he said.

“By powering one of the region’s best-performing Valorant and DOTA 2 Teams with leading-edge AMD products and solutions, the partnership will demonstrate how technology has the incredible potential to elevate esports talent to new heights.”

The CEO and founder of BOOM Esports, Gary Ongko Putera, expressed the organization’s excitement about the partnership. He believes the partnership will help elevate the organization to the next level.

“We are ecstatic to be partnering with AMD, one of the fastest-growing brands in the industry. With their superior products and technology, we believe AMD will be able to give us the appropriate support to take our organization and esports as a whole to the next level,” he said.

According to Devesh Kabdwal, BOOM Esports CRO, the partnership will help the organization achieve their community-related goals.

“Besides adding advantage to BOOM Esports in terms of top-of-the-line hardware, we believe this partnership will also help us fulfil our community-related goals,” he said.

“With AMD’s support in the esports landscape in Southeast Asia, we’ll have a better opportunity to interact with our fans and contribute to the evolving esports and entertainment ecosystem for the near future.”

AMD is the latest company to partner with BOOM Esports, joining Rivalry, CBN Fiber, Yesports, and GamesPad.

The BOOM Esports Dota 2 team has had an incredibly successful 2022. Although BOOM had a poor outing at ESL One Stockholm, finishing 11th in the event, they have finished in the top two of all the SEA tours.

Perhaps their biggest victory this year was during the Gamers Galaxy Invitational Series Dubai 2022. They defeated Tundra Esports 3-2 in the grand final to win the event, walking away with $108,986 of the US$272,466 prize pool.

BOOM’s next outing will be during the PGL Arlington Major, which will commence on August 4. In Group B, their first match will be against Tundra Esports, who are $2.31 favorites on the moneyline at GG Bet. A top-eight finish will guarantee the SEA team the minimum points required to qualify for The International 2022.

Their Valorant team has also been impressive this year, currently fighting for a spot in the 2022 Valorant Champions tournament through the Asia Pacific Last Chance Qualifier. BOOM are currently in the upper-bracket semifinals and will play the winner of the ONIC Esports-ORDER matchup on August 3.

ESB returns with another set of Dota 2 betting predictions and best odds for Wednesday’s PGL Dota Pro Circuit 2021 Southeast Asia fixtures. Check out our top bets for BOOM Esports vs Execration and Vice Esports vs T1.

BOOM ESPORTS vs EXECRATION DOTA 2 BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Dota 2 Betting Odds: BOOM $1.32 at GG Bet | Execration $3.16 at GG Bet
When: February 17, 2021 at 17:00 SGT
Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/pgl_dota2)

This will mark BOOM Esports’ fifth head-to-head meeting with Execration since June 2020 and their first since October, when the Indonesian squad won 2-0. For this match, BOOM will be without their carry Andrew “Drew” Halim and will instead field Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon, who has been announced as a stand-in for the remainder of the DPC 2021 S1 Upper Division matches.

Although bringing in 23savage will likely harm BOOM’s synergy a bit, we are not too concerned about their overall quality. BOOM definitely won’t be any weaker with the ex-ViCi Gaming player, and we would go even so far as to say they might be even stronger with him on the team.

Even though this is an online match, BOOM are still a much stronger team than Execration, who will struggle to win a single map, let alone the series. Take BOOM to win with a clean sweep.

T1 vs VICE ESPORTS DOTA 2 BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Dota 2 Betting Odds: Vice $4.52 at GG Bet | T1 $1.17 at GG Bet

Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/pgl_dota2)

Vice Esports’ only win of the tournament came just under two weeks ago when they bested Execration (2-1). They now hold a 1-4 record, which more or less guarantees them elimination from the division, but that does not necessarily mean they don’t stand a chance against T1.

Vice’s only prior meeting with T1 happened in December 2020, when they forced a 1-1 stalemate. T1 have since added Carlo “Kuku” Palad and Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon to their roster in a bid to introduce some stability, but as it stands now, they have yet to show any.

T1 enter this match off a 2-0 sweep of Execration. While that result might look good on paper, it’s important to note that T1 gave up 50 kills across the series. If they don’t improve, that could be a problem against Vice, who have the tools to exploit T1’s recklessness. For that reason, we are taking a shot with the underdogs to win at least one map.

www.grivaschess.com’s Dota 2 betting predictions for Wednesday focus on two PGL Season 14 DPC Southeast Asia fixtures featuring Fnatic, BOOM Esports, Execration and Vice Esports. Check out our best bets for those games, with top odds from GG Bet.

FNATIC vs BOOM ESPORTS DOTA 2 BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Dota 2 Betting Odds: Fnatic $1.28 at GG Bet | BOOM $3.40 at GG Bet
When: February 3, 2021 at 16:00 SGT
Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/pgl_dota2)

Fnatic will clash with BOOM Esports for the first time since September, when the Indonesian squad won 2-0. That marked BOOM’s sixth head-to-head victory of 2020 and their third in a row, having previously bested Fnatic 2-1 twice during ESL One Thailand 2020: Asia.

It’s fair to mention Fnatic had to play with two stand-ins – Lee “Forev” Sang-don and Kenny “Xepher” Deo – in their most recent bout with BOOM, so it’s not fair to criticise them too much for that loss. Fnatic have since acquired a veteran support in Anucha “Jabz” Jirawong and a talented offlaner in Natthaphon “Masaros” Ouanphakdee.

With those signings Fnatic look the stronger team, but at these betting odds we have to take a shot with the underdogs. BOOM have won at least one map against Fnatic in all but two of their 14 meetings in 2020 and have not lost once in their last six. Expect a close series.

EXECRATION vs VICE ESPORTS DOTA 2 BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Dota 2 Betting Odds: XctN $1.23 at GG Bet | Vice $3.78 at GG Bet
When: February 3, 2021 at 19:00 SGT

Execration started their 2021 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) campaign with a 2-0 win against TNC Predator but were far less successful when faced with Fnatic (0-2) on Wednesday. Regardless, they seem to be in great shape and should be favoured to defeat the shaky Vice Esports, who enter this match with two 0-2 defeats against 496 Gaming and TNC Predator.

Despite Execration’s solid form, we can’t agree with the latest odds at Dota 2 betting sites which imply Vice Esports have only a 26.5% chance of winning. They might have not looked too sharp of late, but they shouldn’t be priced as high as they are.

Vice have beaten Execration twice in 2020 (2-1-6) and have won at least one map in all of their last four meetings. Execration should win, but we don’t expect to see a clean sweep.

Our Dota 2 betting expert brings you his insight of Thursday’s match between 496 Gaming and BOOM Esports, who will clash in the Upper Division of the 2021 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Southeast Asia tournament. Here are our best bets.

496 GAMING vs BOOM ESPORTS DOTA 2 BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Dota 2 Betting Odds: 496 $1.75 at GG Bet | BOOM $1.98 at GG Bet
When: January 28, 2021 at 19:00 SGT

?496 Gaming and BOOM Esports will meet on Thursday for the first time since late October 2020, when they shook hands and parted ways with a 1-1 draw. That marked their fifth meeting of the year and their third consecutive head-to-head stalemate.

496 enter this match off a 2-0 win against Vice Esports and a narrow 1-2 loss against Neon Esports. BOOM have played only one game so far, losing 0-2 against Neon.

With their current roster, BOOM should win this match more times than not, but since they’re still a bit ring rusty, we have to side with their Vietnamese opponents. Over 2.5 maps is not a bad option either at a similar price.

The second Major of 2019/20 Dota Pro Circuit season is rapidly approaching and teams from all over the globe are working hard to make it through their respective regional qualifiers for DreamLeague Season 13, where 16 teams will duke it out for a share of 4,850 DPC points and US $1,000,000. Here, we look at the latest odds and best bets for Tuesday’s DreamLeague Season 13 SEA qualifiers.

Reality Rift vs Cignal Ultra

Tuesday, December 3

Reality Rift ($1.45) and Cignal Ultra ($2.57) are slated to meet in the semi-finals of the DreamLeague Season 13 SEA qualifiers, from where the winners will advance to the main event and the losers will drop to the third-place playoff.

Reality Rift enter the bout as heavy favourites, earned due to their strong performance in the group stage. They finished as the top seed in Group A with a 2-2-0 record which consisted of stalemates against Neon Esports and Geek Fam along with a pair of dominant 2-0 wins over Team Adroit and MDL Chengdu champions TNC Predator.

SEE ALSO: DOTA 2 BETTING GUIDE

Cignal Ultra finished their group stage venture with a 2-1-1 record which earned them second spot in Group B behind Fnatic (4-0-0) and ahead of BOOM Esports (1-1-2). Whereas Reality Rift produced some huge results, Cignal were a model of consistency as they recorded 2-0 wins against both BOOM Esports and Alpha x Hashtag, a draw against SG Dragons and an unsurprising 0-2 defeat against Fnatic.

Reality Rift and Cignal Ultra have met three times this season. Their first bout came at Asia DOTA2 Masters League S1 in mid-September, where RR edged past Ultra and won 2-1. Less than a month later, Ultra got their revenge with a clean sweep at the MDL Chengdu SEA qualifiers but failed to see the same success at the God League Minor tournament, where they had to kneel down again as RR claimed a 2-0 win.

Cignal Ultra played well throughout the group stage, but their results cannot compare to what Reality Rift showed. That they not only stood up to TNC Predator but defeated them 2-0 speaks louder than words and is one of the two reasons why we like RR in this matchup, the other being the better head-to-head record.

Prediction: Reality Rift to win – $1.45 at GG Bet

Fnatic vs TNC Predator

Tuesday, December 3

The second semi-final of the DreamLeague Season 13 SEA qualifiers will feature two regional heavyweights in TNC Predator ($1.57) and Fnatic ($2.25).

Fnatic entered the DreamLeague Major qualifiers with all guns blazing and conquered all comers in Group B to secure the top seed with a perfect 4-0-0 record. They are aiming at five clean sweeps in a row, but TNC Predator are a different beast compared to what Fnatic have faced so far.

SEE ALSO: ESPORTS BETTING SITES

While their upcoming opponents cruised through the groups, TNC Predator dropped the ball against Geek Fam (1-1) and Reality Rift (0-2). They did enough to claim second spot in Group A, but there doubts as to whether TNC are ready to take on an in-form Fnatic.

TNC and Fnatic have met twice this season, sharing one win apiece. Their last meeting came in May 2019 and a lot has changed since then, namely the addition of Damien “kpii” Chok and Park “March” Tae-won to TNC and the arrival of Kam “Moon” Boon Seng and Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon at Fnatic.

While we expect a close bout which could go either way, the form and the odds about the underdogs are impossible to ignore. Whereas TNC slipped up twice in the group stage, Fnatic played perfectly and we will trust them to keep the momentum going.

Prediction: Fnatic to win – $2.25 at GG Bet

Our StarCraft Brood Wars expert Zac Y has been on fire with his predictions and he has closely examined the Group F betting in the Afreeca Star Craft League.

Due to kick off at 5PM KST time on the Tuesday, March 27, Jaedong will clash with Movie and Sea will attempt to topple Pusan in two intriguing clashes.

Jaedong vs Movie

Jaedong is a heavy favourite to win this match so you will have to lay odds if you want to bet on him to win. As one of the strongest Brood War players of his era, Jaedong accumulated many trophies, including a WCG title. Not only has Jaedong had an incredible Brood War career, but they will also be playing on Sparkle, an island map which Zerg players have been dominating on. While Movie is known for his PvZ, he has never had anywhere near the level of success that Jaedong has achieved, and if he were to win it would be a massive upset.

Best bet: Jaedong to win $1.33 with GG Bet

Sea vs Pusan

This is going to be another great match. Both Sea and Pusan are popular streamers and were once up and coming players with bright futures. The odds heavily favour Sea but while Pusan is an underdog his chances here are underestimated. Protoss is pretty strong on island maps with the mobility of shuttles and the raw power of corsairs, as well as the late game potential of the golden armada. While Sea did manage some relatively recent deep runs in ASL Season 1 where he finished 3rd, and ASL season 2 where he finished 2nd after being eliminated by Flash, he will simply not have as easy of a time disposing of Pusan as the odds suggest.

Best bet: Pusan to win $3.43 with GG Bet
