Here are our selections for Entity vs goonsquad and Quincy Crew vs TSM, with top betting odds courtesy of GG Bet.

ENTITY vs GOONSQUAD Dota 2 BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Best Odds: Entity $1.66 at GG Bet | goonsquad $2.10 at GG Bet
When: June 15, 2022 | 15:00 CEST
Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/DreamLeague)

Entity stunned Gaimin Gladiators in the tournament’s opening week, putting them in a perfect spot to chase the ticket for the Arlington Major. But one victory does not mean much, especially for a team that placed sixth in the previous tour.

Like Entity, goonsquad secured a crucial win last week when they defeated Team Liquid (2-1); granted, the series could have easily ended in a 2-0 sweep for Liquid, who choked a massive lead on map 2 and completely fell apart on map 3.

Results-wise, there isn’t much to separate goonsquad and Entity, and it seemed like the esports betting sites have priced Entity as the favourites solely because they looked better in their game against the Gladiators. This should be a very close series that has no clear favourite in our book, so we have to take goonsquad at plus money.

QUINCY CREW vs TSM Dota 2 BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Best Odds: QC $2.62 at GG Bet | TSM $1.44 at GG Bet
When: June 15, 2022 | 15:00 EDT
Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/esl_dota2)

Two of North America’s top Dota 2 teams in TSM and Quincy Crew will clash on Wednesday in a crucial match that might decide which of the two squads will qualify for the upcoming Major. Last time out, TSM defeated Quincy Crew (1-0) in the DPC Tour 2 Division I tiebreakers; however, they lost the regular-season bout (1-2) just two days prior, on April 20.

Of the three meetings, TSM lead the head-to-head 2-1 but are just 4-3 up in maps won, so it’s not like TSM are a vastly superior team to Quincy Crew. Moreover, QC look much more stable now following the re-signing of Rodrigo “LESL?O” Santos and Arif “MSS” Anwar, who joined the team at the end of May, alongside former Team Secret, NiP, and Tundra Esports captain Adrian “Fata” Trinks.

TSM have been phenomenal this season, with a runner-up finish in DPC Tour 2 Div I and a silver medal from ESL One Stockholm 2022. But they were hardly better than Quincy Crew in April, yet they’re $1.44 favourites against an improved QC lineup. Quincy Crew at $2.62 are no-brainer pick.

Here are our selections for Evil Geniuses vs 4 Zoomers and Quincy Crew vs Team Undying, with top odds courtesy of GG Bet.

EVIL GENIUSES vs 4 ZOOMERS Dota 2 BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Dota 2 Betting Odds: EG$1.45 at GG Bet | 4Z $2.66 at GG Bet
When: January 8, 2022 at 15:00 EST
Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/esl_dota2)

Evil Geniuses will always command some level of respect solely due to the organisation’s past success; however, the team has been struggling this season. After four rounds, EG are 2-2 with defeats against Black N Yellow and Wildcard Gaming, while their only two wins came against Arkosh Gaming and simply TOOBASED.

Evil Geniuses haven’t lived up to expectations and locked themselves out of advancing to the Major with wins against two of the weakest teams in the division and defeats against mid-table teams. On a more positive note, the season is still very young, so there’s plenty of time to improve, but it’s clear that the newly formed roster has yet to come together.

Unlike EG, their next opponents, 4 Zoomers, have been playing well this season, and while they haven’t been able to defeat the top two teams in Quincy Crew (1-2) and Undying (0-2), 4 Zoomers did enough to be considered as the third-strongest team of the division. Admittedly, 4Z look much weaker than EG on paper, but the eye test would prove that they are far more efficient on the battlefield.

The betting odds on this match don’t make much sense and seem to be set on the brand value alone. 4 Zoomers to win at $2.66 is an excellent bet with plenty of value.

QUINCY CREW vs TEAM UNDYING Dota 2 BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

When: January 8, 2022 at 18:00 EST

Quincy Crew and Team Undying will clash on Saturday for the title of NA DPC Tour 1 champions and a direct bye into the Winter Major playoffs. Both teams have been phenomenal this season, and there is little to separate them performance-wise.

However, it’s easy to understand why the esports betting sites favour Team Undying, who have won all four of their bouts without dropping a single map. Meanwhile, Quincy Crew have slipped twice and enter this match with a 8-2 map differential.

While we wouldn’t put too much weight on the teams’ map record, Undying looked much more dominant in their wins. And beyond that, Undying have been together for much longer than QC, which shows in excellent synergy and unmatched ability to fight their way back from losing situations.

Undying are playing like one of the top-five teams in the world, and if they can keep it up, they could do some serious damage in the upcoming Major. Quincy Crew are still solid, but Undying is the current top team in North America.

At this point, it’s hard to be surprised by Quincy Crew winning a Dota2 tournament but at the same time, it’s difficult to not be impressed by how far this team has come this year. Throughout their two-year-long history, Quincy Crew have had their fair share of difficulties C namely roster instability – but it seems like all the pieces fell into place in March when the core of players returned to play under QC’s banner after their four-month stint with Chaos Esports Club.

Since Quincy Crew got back together, the North American esports organisation made only one roster change, when they replaced Malthe “Biver” Winther with ex-Ninjas in Pyjamas offlaner Rodrigo “Lelis” Santos, which ushered Quincy Crew’s most successful period since the team was formed in August 2018.

Avery “SVG” Silverman and his crew started the year with a runner-up finish at ESL One Los Angeles 2020 – Online: North America in April, to which they added two more silver medals from BTS Pro Series: Americas and Dota 2 BEAT Invitational Season 9. But that was only a taste of things to come.

Quincy Crew went on to attend six events and won all of them, including FVBet Showmatch #1, ESL One Birmingham 2020 – Online: North & South America, BTS Pro Series Season 2: Americas, OGA Dota PIT S2: Americas, The Great American Rivalry Season 1 Division 1, ESL One Thailand 2020: Americas and have now added their seventh consecutive Dota2 tournament title with another phenomenal performance at OMEGA League: Americas Divine Division.

At the OMEGA League SVG and co. had no real difficulties securing the top spot in the group, which they achieved with a perfect 4-0 record and 8-1 map differential. Quincy Crew then carried over their momentum into the playoffs, where they defeated beastcoast (2-1) and 4 Zoomers (2-1) to secure a spot in the grand finals, where they reunited with familiar faces of Nico “Gunnar” Lopez and his stack of players.

Like it was the case in the upper bracket finals, 4 Zoomers stood no chance against the surging Quincy Crew, who left nothing to chance and swept their regional rivals with a clean 3-0 win.

Not one of the three games was close, which in most part was due to Quincy Crew’s strong early game and composed playstyle that allowed them to snowball their lead into a victory. What makes Quincy Crew’s title-winning run even more impressive, is the fact that they dropped only three maps throughout the whole event to business associates, beastcoast and 4 Zoomers.

What’s more, in Quincy Crew managed 3-0 sweeps in all of the last three grand finals appearances including The Great American Rivalry Season 1 Division 1, ESL One Thailand 2020: Americas and now OMEGA League. By winning the OMEGA League: Americas Divine Division, Quincy Crew pocketed US $12,000 in tournament winnings, which brings their total tournament earnings of 2020 to $138.922.

With BTS Pro Series Season 3: Americas just around the corner, it is likely Quincy Crew will enter the event to defend their BTS Pro Series Season 2 title. However, their participation has yet to be confirmed by either the organisers or the players, meaning Quincy Crew could be taking a short break to recharge their batteries.

QUINCY CREW vs BUSINESS ASSOCIATES DOTA 2 BEAT INVITATIONAL SEASON 9 BETTING PREVIEW

Quincy Crew and business associates will meet this Tuesday in the upper bracket of the Dota2 BEAT Invitational, where four North American teams will compete for the largest slice of US $10,000 in prize money.

Quincy Crew returned to fight under their old banner at the end of March after Yawar “YawaR” Hassan, Quinn “Quinn” Callahan, Arif “MSS” Anwar, Malthe “Biver” Winther and Avery “SVG” Silverman were released by Chaos Esports Club, who decided to pull the plug on their Dota2 esports project. Since then, they have put up some promising results.

At ESL One Los Angeles 2020 – Online: North America, QC finished the round-robin phase undefeated and went on to secure second place. They would have been disappointed with their 1-3 loss to Evil Geniuses in the grand finals, however, as they had beaten EG earlier in the tournament.

Quincy Crew showed more good form at BTS Pro Series: Americas earlier this month, ending the round-robin stage as the first seed with a perfect 7-0 record. YawaR’s squad carried that momentum into the playoffs, where they defeated business associates in round one and Evil Geniuses in the upper bracket finals. Just like at ESL One Los Angeles 2020, however, EG got the better of Quincy in the grand finals with a commanding 3-1 win.

While Quincy Crew have been making some serious noise in the North American Dota2 esports scene, business associates have struggled to make any notable impact.

BA finished fourth out of four teams at ESL One Los Angeles 2020 – Online: North America after failing to win a single match in the group stage. Clinton “Fear” Loomis suffered defeats against CR4ZY (1-2), Quincy Crew (1-2) and Evil Geniuses (1-2).

Business associates looked better at BTS Pro Series: Americas, where they defeated Cloud9 (2-0), Thunder Predator (2-1) and FURIA (2-0). Their only three losses of the tournament, however, came against the exact same teams that caused them headaches as ESL One Los Angeles: Quincy Crew (1-2), CR4ZY (1-2) and Evil Geniuses (0-2).

QUINCY CREW vs BUSINESS ASSOCIATES DOTA 2 BEAT INVITATIONAL SEASON 9 BETTING PREDICTIONS

Quincy Crew have looked a far better team than business associates in recent weeks. That QC have won this matchup twice in the past 30 days makes it rather obvious YawaR and co. will have the upper hand this Tuesday. Keep it simple and back the favourites for the win.

BUSINESS ASSOCIATES VS QUINCY CREW ESL ONE LOS ANGELES DOTA2 ONLINE MAJOR: NA BETTING PREVIEW

Business associates and Quincy Crew are set to duke it out on Matchday 2 in the North American section of the ESL One Los Angeles Online Major, in what will be their second-to-last match of the tournament before the playoffs.

Quincy Crew’s squad have returned to fight under their old banner following their departure from Chaos Esports Club earlier this month, when the North American esports organisation decided to call it quits on their Dota2 project due to COVID-19 outbreak.

Representing Quincy Crew are now Yawar “YawaR” Hassan, Quinn “Quinn” Callahan, Arif “MSS” Anwar, Malthe “Biver” Winther and Avery “SVG” Silverman. The one new member of this Quincy squad compared to the previous incarnation is Biver, who takes over the role formerly occupied by Jon? “SabeRLight-” Volek.

YawaR and co. had a few impressive showings as Chaos, including first place at DreamLeague Season 13 North America Closed Qualifiers and runner-up finishes at DOTA Summit 11 and ESL One LA Major NA qualifiers. Despite their strong performances in qualifiers, however, Chaos EC failed to deliver at Leipzig Major, where they finished 13th-16th after they lost to Aster in round one of the playoffs.

That did not stop Yawar’s squad from putting up a very impressive show at LA Major qualifiers, where they forced Evil Geniuses into a three-map series and defeated business associates twice with a 4-1 aggregate score.

Joining the clash of the organisation-less teams are business associates, a quintet of players which formerly represented J.Storm before the North American outfit decided to release their members without warning earlier this year.

While playing under J.Storm, Clinton “Fear” Loomis and co. had a fairly successful run on the Dota Pro Circuit. They pocketed top-six finishes at DreamLeague Season 12 and the MDL Chengdu Major, but success has been hard to come by since then and it seems like the lack of proper training facilities and financial backing has taken a toll on the team.

Business associates finished third at ESL One Los Angeles NA Major Closed Qualifiers and later put up two underwhelming displays at StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Season 3 and WeSave! Charity Play – North America, where they finished seventh-eighth and third-fourth respectively.

Perhaps it would be fair to give business associates some slack for their WeSave! Charity Play placement, given that it was a charity event and that they took Evil Geniuses to three maps, but it is hard to overlook their defeats to forZe and BOOM Esports at the StarLadder tournament.

BUSINESS ASSOCIATES VS QUINCY CREW ESL ONE LOS ANGELES DOTA2 ONLINE MAJOR: NA BETTING PREDICTIONS

Quincy Crew are priced as heavy favourites to pocket a W here, which is fair when you consider they defeated business associates twice at the ESL One Los Angeles 2020 North America Closed Qualifier. That said, the outsiders should not be underestimated.

It’s easy to forget how strong J.Storm used to be. While they were never one of the top teams in the Dota 2 esports scene, they had their fair share of impressive results.

Most J.Storm’s success was due to Fear, who is one of the most storied Dota2 player-coaches and widely regarded as the best Dota2 player from North America. He might not be the player he once was, but his experience and leadership are invaluable assets.

Fears presence might not be enough to inspire business associates to an upset win, but the underdogs have what it takes to force a three-map series.

Dota 2 star SumaiL parts ways with Quincy Crew https://www.grivaschess.com/dota-2-star-sumail-parts-ways-with-quincy-crew/ https://www.grivaschess.com/dota-2-star-sumail-parts-ways-with-quincy-crew/#respond Fri, 11 Oct 2019 22:43:17 +0000 https://www.grivaschess.com/?p=8353 The internal turmoil of Quincy Crew has resulted in the departure of Syed Sumail SumaiL Hassan from the team, which leaves the NA squad severely weakened ahead of Dota Summit 11, set to begin on November 7, 2019.

Thursday, October 10 marked the final day of Dota Summit 11 qualifiers for all six regions, meaning the final lineup for the opening event of 2019/20 Dota Pro Circuit season is complete.

Virtus.pro, HellRaisers, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Ad Finem, Invictus Gaming, Geek Farm, paiN Gaming and the newly formed Quincy Crew made the list with their impressive performances in their regional qualifiers.

Out of all teams, however, it was Quincy Crew who made all the headlines, unfortunately for all the wrong reasons.

A lot of expectations have been put on this team, who had a very solid run at MDL Chengdu Major NA qualifiers. There they finished second in Group B, only to suffer a painful 1-2 defeat at the hands of Evil Geniuses in semi-finals and a 0-2 loss to J.Storm in the third-place match, meaning Quincy Crew finished fourth.

By failing to finish top three, Quincy Crew came just short of reaching Chengdu Major and had to settle with a consolation prize that was a ticket for Dota Summit 11 qualifiers, where they crushed everyone, and earned a spot at the Dota Summit 11 main event.

With an impressive feat behind them Quincy Crew looked like a team with a very bright and promising future ahead of them. However, everything soon came crashing down.

On the same day Dota Summit 11 qualifiers ended, Quincy Crew’s coach revealed they will continue their journey without their star player and former EG member SumaiL due to a “fit issue”.

Despite looking very solid on the outside, it seems like Quincy Crew seemingly did not operate as smoothly as many would have guessed or hoped they did.

The Quincy Crew’s coach went on to post another Twitter post, stating that despite what many Dota 2 esports fans thought, the departure of SumaiL from the team was not due to one person being the problem, but rather a result of “complicated team issues and circumstances”, which leaves a lot of questions unanswered.

The departure of SumaiL from Quincy Crew also means he will miss out on playing alongside his younger brother and former Newbee member Yawar YawaR Hassan, who will most likely step in the shoes of his older brother and take over the role as a carry at Quincy Crew.

Where will the road take SumaiL is yet to be seen, however, as it seems, his departure from Evil Genuises in mid-September left him unable to find a new home, where he could re-live his glory days when he became TI5 champion with EG.
