Ninja In Pyjamas has outlasted EHOME in the finals of OGA Dota PIT Minor 2019, securing the title and a precious ticket to take part in the MDL Disneyland Paris Major.

NIP took home the USD $125,000 prize pool and 120 valuable Dota Pro Circuit points to go along with its victory, stamping itself as a team to look out for in the sport’s next big major.

NIP features five star players including Marcus “Ace” Hoelgaard, Adrian “Fata” Trinks, Neta “33” Shapira, Martin “Saksa” Sazdov and Peter “ppd” Dager.

PDD is one of the best drafters in history of Dota 2, a reputation forged after helping his side win The International 5. He is not only their fifth role supporter, he is also their captain.

In addition to their captain, Aaron “Clairvoyance” Kim plays the role of coach, helping to analyse meta of the patch and enemy drafting tactics.

NIP started their first match in the group stage against Royal Never Give Up (RNG) and lost the series, due largely to the fact RNG banned Drow Ranger in game two and game three.

Then, on the second day of the group stage, NIP battled against Gambit Esports and out-played them by using Ace’s Naga Siren in game one and Fata’s Queen of Pain in game three.

NIP finished third in Group A after losing against BOOM ID in the final day of the group stage.

In the playoffs, they delivered a brilliant burst of form, refusing to surrender even a single game against Majestic Esports, Forward Gaming and Alliance.

Coming into the finals against EHOME, NIP totally out-drafted its opponent by picking Broodmother last, while EHOME had a lineup of Razor, Grimstroke, DoomBringer, Wraith King and Rubick.

It was not the best time to pick Broodmother because DoomBringer, Grimstroke and Rubick are able to deal with the spawn of Spiders. This is the reason the game lasted more than 50 minutes because Broodmother was not able to tear down many towers and pressure the middle too much in early phase.

NIP only took control of the game when Broodmother and Morphing had all their core items.

Learning its Broodmother lesson from game one, EHOME picked Winter Wyvern as their first support hero in game two. The pick lowered NIP’s chances of drafting Broodmother because Winter Wyvern’s ultimate skill, Winter’s Curse, targets an enemy and turns all the allies around the targeted enemy to attack him for a duration of 5.5 seconds.

NIP respected Winter Wyvern and never went for Broodmother again.

EHOME played game two intelligently and slowly, taking advantage of two strong late game heroes, Medusa and Wraith King, while NIP drafted Templar Assassin as one of their cores.

Templar Assassin is very strong in early-middle phase of the game, but he is weak in late game because he’s unable to melt down any core heroes within a few hits after all the core heroes purchase their items.

NIP called GG when Medusa and Wraith King were out of control.

Fast forward to the last game of the series and both teams illustrated a farming draft and picked a lot of late game heroes as their cores.

EHOME picked Nature Prophet, Spectre and Ember Spirit as their position 1, 2 and 3, while NIP drafted Drow Ranger, Huskar and Doom as their core heroes.

EHOME was the team that gave itself the best chance to win from the draft, as Nature Prophet and Spectre are heroes that travel to the team fight immediately with their skill. This allowed EHOME an advantage in man-power in the team fight, while Nature Prophet and Spectre could farm and pressure the lane before that fight started.

After an hour of farming and team fights, Doom from NIP finally had his Refresher Orb and NIP won the last team fight thanks to Doom casting his ultimate kill on Spectre twice. The first time to disable his Linken’s Sphere and the second successfully casted on Spectre.

Spectre had to hide in the fountain more than twenty seconds to get extra regeneration, while Drow Ranger and Huskar were tearing down their throne.

NIP completes the team list for MDL Disneyland Paris Major as the last participant to receive a direct invite.

After taking 120 DPC points they have totalled 1690 and are only 2000 points away from qualification into The International 9.

Alliance, the top contestant in Group B, will take on Gambit Esports, the bottom flagger in Group A, in the first round of OGA Dota PIT Minor 2019 playoffs tonight.

This current meta of the Dota 2 patch has been a disaster for Gambit Esports. Daxak, the position one player from the squad, has not picking Visage in this tournament — a hero that has brought him great success.

Visage’s familiar at level one is only 20 damage per hit now, which may explain the reason Gambit Esport has seemingly abandoned this option.

Stout Shield, an item that costs only 200 golds in the game, is able to counter the level 1 Familiar because the item provides 50% chance to block 20 damage from incoming attacks on melee heroes and 9 damage on ranged hero.

Level 1 Familiar is dealing zero damage to the Stout Shield holder (melee heroes) if the item procs the chance of blocking damage.

Despite the loss of Visage, Gambit Esports did make a great draft by picking Drow Ranger, Necrophos and Beastmaster as their cores in a recent bout against Royal Never Give Up.

Drow Ranger’s Precision Aura affecting Necrophos and Beastmaster’s Boar. Beastmaster maximized the output damage of the Boar with Vladmir’s Offering and Medallion of Courage.

Gambit Esports then secured every tower outside enemies’ base within thirty minutes of the game. With the golds of breaking towers, Drow Ranger soon secured herself Aghanim’s Scepter and Mjollnir to wipe out the illusions army of Phantom Lancer from Royal Never Give Up.

Alliance, the best team in Group B, beat down EHOME, Forward Gaming and Majestic Esports in the group stage. Qojqva, the position two player from the team is the MVP credited for their wins in the group stage. Qojqva spammed three games of Storm Spirit and never lost any of it. Qojqva has been known for his Storm Spirit and Tinker’s gameplay.

Storm Spirit and Invoker are very inactive in the competitive scene since the update of patch 7.20, but Invoker and Storm Spirit are picked by a lot of professional teams because they finally thought of the way of bringing them into meta again.

Qojqva’s item build for Storm Spirit is the same pattern from Bottle, Kaya, Power Threat then BloodStone. Kaya is one of the essential items for Storm Spirit because it reduces the mana cost of every skill or items being casted by the user.

Storm Spirit is a hero having three active abilities and his ultimate skill is Ball Lighting, mana cost are calculated based on 0.7% mana per unit being travel.

While traveling in Ball Lighting, he is not targetable and invulnerable. Qojqva always utilizes this skill and juke enemies without taking any damage to kill off the enemies.

Friday, April 26, 2019 – 18:00 UTC+8.

BOOM ID, the second team from Group A and EHOME, the third seed from Group B, will battle it out in a best-of-three series to determine who moves to the next round of upper bracket at OGA Dota PIT Minor 2019.

BOOM ID surprised the Dota 2 world in taking down Ninja In Pyjamas in the group stage, out-witting one of the best franchises in Europe.

BOOM ID has had two wins and a loss in the group stage, taking down both Gambit Esports and Ninja In Pyjamas 2-1 before losing to Royal Never Give Up 0-2.

Looking into their drafting tactics, it’s clear they love to draft Ember Spirit.

From the eight games they played in group stage, they picked Ember Spirit three times for their position one player, Randy Muhammad “Dreamocel” Sapoetra.

SEE ALSO: LATEST ESPORTS BETTING TIPS

Ember Spirit is a hero that either goes for high physical damage build, purchasing items like Battlefury, Daedalus and Divine Rapier to maximize his damage output by physical attack, or goes for high magic damage dealer, buying items including Mjollnir, Radiance, Spirit Vessel and Octarine Core to control enemies by dealing high magic damage.

Obviously, Fervian has been opting to play the magical build. He went for Spirit Vessel, Radiance and Octarine Core build against Gambit Esports. The supports from Gambit Esports were melted into dust in few seconds.

Then, in another game against Ninja, his Ember Spirit purchased Drum of Endurance and Maelstrom because he could not farm in early phase of the game. In game three against Ninja, BOOM ID drafted Ember Spirit again, but put him in middle lane.

He had quite a good farm and was able to purchase Maelstrom, Drum of Endurance including Linken’s Sphere before the 27-minute mark.

Fervain is very experienced when it comes to using the hero and situational items built is one of the advantages BOOM ID could use to work in coming drafts.

EHOME’s performance in the group stage has been under par, but understandable, given Zhang “xiao8” Ning is a temporary stand-in for Zhang “Faith_bian” Ruida.

Forward Gaming is the only team EHOME had beaten in the group stage, in the game three of the series. EHOME drafted Templar Assassin and Forward Gaming tried to counter pick with Death Prophet but Forward Gaming still failed in winning the game because Yang “END” Pu, the position one from EHOME was carrying the game with Wraith King while Templar Assassin created space for him.

BOOM ID vs EHOME betting prediction

After running our eye through their drafting abilities and performance in the group stage, we give BOOM ID a 65% chance to win this match-up.

Ember Spirit is a perfect hero to counter Templar Assassin, so EHOME is limited by BOOM ID in this series.

Considering the payout odds, our recommendation is to go low and bet on BOOM ID to win the series $1.83 with GG Bet.

Pain Gaming sent a shockwave through the Dota 2 world over the weekend, upsetting Chaos Esports Club to become the first team to advance to the Disneyland Paris MDL from South America.

The results from last week’s Dota 2 battles sent shockwaves throughout the game as Pacific ESports also eliminated Thunder Predator mercilessly.

Following the results, Infamous, Thunder Predator, Gorillaz-Pride, Pacific Esports and SG e-sports received their invitation to participant in OGA Dota PIT Minor 2019 South America Qualifier.

Not exactly what they would have hoped for at the start of the week.

Pacific Esports’ first opponent was SG e-sports, the squad that finished in 7th-8th place in the MDL South America Closed Qualifier.

The two sides had not met in the MDL previously because Pacific was eliminated in Group A and SG was beaten by Infamous and the Demolition Boys in Group B.

SEE ALSO: LATEST ESPORTS BETTING TIPS

Pacific stuck to their plan of drafting Chaos Knight as their carry, despite their failure in MDL. K1, the carry player from this squad, picked Chaos Knight again in their game one.

He went on beast mode by killing 19 enemies without dying after a 40 minutes. He also had 13 assists and golds per minute up to 896.

After taking down SG, Team X was the second opponent they encountered in the playoffs.

Dunha1, the support position player from Pacific, was the MVP against Team X.

In game one, he played Earth Spirit and had several successful roaming efforts in the early stage of the game, allowing Templar Assassin from the same team to purchase Power Threat and Blink Dagger by the 12-minute mark.

With these advantages, Templar Assassin and Earth Spirit kept moving around the map and Nature Prophet from Team X had no space to rat and farm. Team X surrendered the game because they could not clear the tower outside Pacific’s base.

Moving forward to the finals, Pacific went up against Thunder Predator.

Thunder Predator did their homework and banned Oracle along with Earth Spirit in its first opportunity to deny the chance of Pacific taking them in game one. They also first picked Doombringer to prevent Pacific picking Templar Assassin.

Thunder Predator won the first game easily by out-drafting Pacific.

However, Pacific Esports totally crashed Thunder Predator with Nyx Assassin in game two. DoomBringer and Batrider’s movement were limited by Nyx Assassin, hence Pacific took the victory.

In game three, Thunder Predator made a mistake by not banning Earth Spirit and Dunha1 lead the victory towards Pacific after getting 17 assists in game three.

Pacific Esports is definitely one of the dark horses in OGA Dota PIT Minor 2019, but they still have long way to go if they want to take home the title of PIT Minor.

WarriorsGaming.Unity (WGU) and Team Tigers will look to shake off some recent disappointment when they go to war in a best-of-three series of in the OGA Dota PIT Minor 2019 Southeast Asia Closed Qualifier.

Both teams were recently eliminated from the group stage of the MDL Disneyland Paris Closed Qualifier and will be out to rediscover form.

WGU was booted out of MDL after they losing to Fnatic and Boom ID in group A, while Tigers lost to Mineski and EVOS Esports in group B.

Looking at the draft tactics Team Tigers adopted in the MDL closed qualifier, Dendi, the position two player, only played Shadow Fiend, Tidehunter and Razor in the group stage.

SEE ALSO: LATEST ESPORTS BETTING TIPS

Tidehunter being placed in position two was not the best idea and they also lost the game when Dendi picked him to play against EVOS Esports in game three.

Dendi failed to display a strong heroes pool knowledge, and the Tigers’ overall draft left a lot to be desired.

WGU only finalized their current roster two weeks ago, replacing Velo and Kang with Poloson and Ohaiyo.

Ohaiyo is a well-known Dota 2 player from his days playing support for Fnatic back in 2016. He is taking up position three for WGU.

WGU has shown some versatility in their drafts of late. Ohaiyo played five different heroes in every single game they played in group stage of MDL.

Gambit Esports will get a chance at revenge when they face Natus Vincere (Navi) in a best-of-three series at the OGA Dota PIT Minor.

The last head-to-head match-up between these two sides was just four days ago, when Natus Vincere eliminated Gambit Esports after winning game three in the MDL Disneyland Paris Major CIS Closed Qualifier.

In game one, Navi picked Pangolier and Winter Wywern because they respected Daxak’s Mepoo.

Both Pangolier and Winter Wywern are heroes that counter Mepoo very hard, so the tactic was to deny Gambit Esports the opportunity to pick the hero.

Magical, the position two player from Natus Vincere, has spammed Razor a lot in Navi’s recent pro matches. This hero is very strong in the laning phase and also very easy to farm with his third ability, Unstable Current, constantly dealing damage of 120 to enemies within a 500 radius.

SEE ALSO: LATEST ESPORTS BETTING TIPS

Magical totally out-farmed Shadow Fiend from Gambit Esports in game one and claimed the victory.

In game two, Gambit Esports banned Razor and Magical picked another signature hero, Templar Assassin, but Troll Warlock from Gambit Esports over-farmed with Magnus constantly providing him cleave attack damage of 90% with empower.

Troll Warlock ended Navi with 12 kills without dying and golds per minute up to 774.

Navi out-drafted Gambit Esports again in game three because they picked Razor and Winter Wyvern first.

Daxak, position one player from Gambit Esports, loves to pick heroes that can control more than one unit and Winter Wyvern definitely is the counter for that because Winter Wyvern’s ultimate skill is Winter’s Curse, which freezes an enemy in place and causes the nearby enemies around him to attack their targeted ally with increase attack speed for 5.5 seconds.

After seeing Gambit Esports draft Phantom Lancer, Navi also picked Lifestealer and purchased him Radiance by the 18-minute mark to wipe out illusions and locate the real Phantom Assassin easily.

Gambit Esports vs Natus Vincere betting prediction

After analysing their head-to-head match, we give Navi a 70 per cent chance to win this match-up.

Considering the payout odds, our recommendation is to go medium and bet on Navi to win the game at $2.08 with GG Bet.
