Our League of Legends betting expert brings you his insights for three Northern LoL Championship (NLC) fixtures taking place on Tuesday, February 9. Here are the best bets and top odds on offer at GG Bet.

MNM GAMING vs RIDDLE ESPORTS LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

LoL Betting Odds: MnM $2.11 at GG Bet | RDL $1.67 at GG Bet
When: February 9, 2021 at 19:00 CET
Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/nlclol)

?MnM Gaming and Riddle Esports will clash on Tuesday for the second time this season and the first time since January 21, when Riddle won with a massive 11.3k gold lead and 16-7 in kills. These teams have since played four games each and lost all of them.

This is a match between two of the worst-performing teams in the Northern League of Legends Championship (NLC). While it may seem reasonable to see MnM priced as underdogs, they’re not much worse than Jake “Stxrm” Camilleri and his crew. We would go even so far as to say MnM are playing better than Riddle, who are averaging by far the worst K/D (0.49) in the league.

The latest League of Legends betting odds seem to overvalue the result of the first head-to-head meeting. Anything above even money is good enough for us to side with MnM.

TEAM SINGULARITY vs BARRAGE ESPORTS LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

LoL Betting Odds: SNG $1.73 at GG Bet | BRG $2.01 at GG Bet
When: February 9, 2021 at 21:00 CET
Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/nlclol)

Team Singularity enter this match on a three-game winning streak and a 5-1 record that includes only one loss, which came against NLC 2020 Summer champions Fnatic Rising. Barrage Esports have been slightly less successful with two losses in six outings, one of which was against Singularity back in January.

Singularity won that match with an 8k gold lead and 20-7 in kills, largely thanks to their superior draft (Aphelios versus dive-heavy composition), so perhaps we should take that result with a grain of salt. That said, Singularity field the strongest bottom-lane duo in the league in Fayez “Dragdar” Ahmed and Tom “Prosfair” Willis, who are averaging 14.2 and 10.67 KDA respectively.

Dragdar and Prosfair did not play in Singularity’s loss against Fnatic Rising, which says a lot about how much stronger Singularity are with them on the Rift. There is no news suggesting either of the two will miss this match, so we have to favour Singularity to secure their second head-to-head victory on Tuesday.

TRICKED ESPORTS vs NORDAVIND LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

LoL Betting Odds: TRC $1.58 at GG Bet | NVD $2.26 at GG Bet
When: February 9, 2021 at 22:00 CET
Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/nlclol)

Tricked Esports crushed Nordavind in their first meeting of the season and then went on to pick up three more wins against GODSENT, Granit Gaming and Dusty. Noradvind did not look too shabby during that stretch either, beating GODSENT and handing BT Excel their first loss of the season on Thursday.

Noradvind looked very solid in their match with BT Excel. While it was not like one player was doing all the heavy lifting for the Norwegian squad, ADC Lars “Chrisberg” Christiansen was the clear standout that day with 8/2/2.

Noradvind’s upset win doesn’t mean much in the greater picture, but it holds far more value if we consider Tricked haven’t looked too sharp of late. Some esports bookmakers are offering +6.5 kills on Nordavind at around [rm
$1.80, which is a good bet, but we will take a shot with the underdogs on the moneyline market.

Nordavind have announced the permanent signing of Haris “H4RR3” Hadzic, who has served as a stand-in for the injured Ruben “RUBINO” Villarroel since March.

This marks the third time the Norwegian team have signed H4RR3 to their CS:GO esports roster. He first joined the team in September 2018 after leaving Kingpins Esports and remained active until he was benched in March 2019. A few months later, in July, H4RR3 re-signed with the Norwegian esports organisation but ended up leaving at the end of the year when his contract expired.

Since then, H4RR3 has competed for Riddle Esports alongside his former teammate Morten “zEVES” Vollan. They made an appearance at FLASHPOINT Season 1: European Open Qualifier #3 in February but failed to see much success, as the team did not make it past the first round.

Soon after, H4RR3 left Riddle and reunited with Nordavind as a stand-in for RUBINO while the in-game leader recovered from a wrist injury. ZEVEZ also moved on, taking over as head coach of Copenhagen Flames in May.

Since his addition to the roster, H4RR3 has helped Nordavind to a few noteworthy achievements. They include a fourth-place finish at ESEA MDL Season 33, where Nordavind narrowly missed out on a ticket to the ESEA Global Challenge, and semi-finals appearances at LOOT.BET/CS Season 6 and BLAST Rising.

In his combined stints at Nordavind, H4RR3 has averaged a mediocre 0.99 rating. However, he has become an integral part of the team due to his penchant for standout moments and clutch plays. Some of H4RR3’s most notable showings at Nordavind in recent weeks include his 1.75 rating against SKADE in the ESEA Season 34: Premier Division and 1.68 rating against Hard Legion at #HomeSweetHome: Week 6.

“He has been an integral part of the team for some time now,” read Nordavind’s announcement about the re-signing of H4RR3.

“With numerous tenures within the organization, the Norwegian Entry-Fragger has entertained fans across the world with his crazy clutches and energetic spirit.”

With the signing of H4RR3, Nordavind also announced the departure of RUBINO, who is now a free agent and yet to announce his plans for the future.

Jesper “tenzki” Plougmann Mikalski, J?rgen “cromen” Robertsen, Niels Christian “NaToSaphiX” Sillassen, Kevin “HS” Tarn and H4RR3 are now set to continue their journey through ESEA Season 34, where they sit in sixth place with a 6-3 record, and will begin their LOOT.BET Season 7 endeavour on Thursday, June 11.

HARD LEGION ESPORTS vs NORDAVIND CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

CSGO Betting Odds: Hard Legion $1.57 at GG Bet | Nordavind $2.39 at GG Bet When: May 29, 2020 at 10:50 CEST Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/GRIDesports)

HARD LEGION ESPORTS vs NORDAVIND #HOMESWEETHOME: WEEK 6 BETTING PREVIEW

The opening Group D fixture of #HomeSweetHome: Week 6 will mark the first official Counter-Strike meeting between Russia’s Hard Legion Esports and Norway’s Nordavind.

There is a sense of excitement whenever two esports teams meet for the first time, as it is often difficult to tell which side will have the upper hand. For this fixture, however, it’s hard to argue against Hard Legion’s substantial advantage.

Sviatoslav “svyat” Dovbakh and co. enter this match following an impressive run through ESL One: Road to Rio – CIS, where they finished third behind Winstrike Team and Team Spirit. Throughout the group stage, Hard Legion picked up wins over Syman (2-1), pro 100 (2-0), Virtus.pro (2-1) and even against the reigning IEM Katowice champions, Natus Vincere (2-0).

In the playoffs, however, Hard Legion failed to overcome Winstrike, who defeated them 19-16 on Vertigo and 16-7 on Mirage. On the bright side, svyat’s squad took down Virtus.pro in the third-place decider match and with that earned 1,400 Regional Major Ranking points, which puts them at the top of the CIS standings.

Hard Legion also participated at the fourth and fifth week of #HomeSweetHome. They reached the playoffs in both events but failed to make it past the quarter-finals, losing to Gambit Youngsters (1-2) and Heroic (1-2) respectively.

Despite their 58.1% win rate across the past three months and a very impressive 7-3 record in their last 10, Hard Legion have struggled to deliver when it matters. Nonetheless, their consistent performances in group stages should give them plenty of confidence for Friday’s fixture.

Nordavind will look to improve upon their fifth-eighth finish at #HomeSweetHome: Week 5, where they looked fairly solid throughout the group stage but fell apart in the quarter-finals against SMASH Esports (1-2).

In their four group stage fixtures, Nordavind defeated SKADE twice (16-4 and 2-0), but failed to deliver against the eventual champions, Heroic (0-2). They put up a lot of resistance against Heroic, however, taking them to 40 rounds (18-22) on the first map, which suggests Jesper “tenzki” Plougmann and co. are not as terrible as they’re portrayed to be.

Nordavind also participated at LOOT.BET/CS Season 6 and BLAST Rising, finishing in third-fourth place at both events after losing their semi-final bouts against Heroic (0-2) and Endpoint (0-2) respectively. Again, those fixtures were closer than the scorelines appear to suggest.

While it is hard to criticise Nordavind for their lack of success in recent weeks, their failure to close out crucial matches is concerning. That issue is a byproduct of losing their in-game leader, Ruben “RUBINO” Villarroel, to a wrist injury at the start of March.

Nordavind enter this match with a 50% win rate from the last three months and a 5-5 record in their last five. Tenzki and his team picked up wins against HAVU, AGO, FATE and twice against SKADE, but they failed to see the same success against Sprout, Endpoint, Heroic, Smash and most recently against Nemiga at ESEA Season 34: Premier Division – Europe.

HARD LEGION ESPORTS vs NORDAVIND #HOMESWEETHOME: WEEK 6 BETTING PREDICTIONS

Because this is the first-ever fixture between Hard Legion and Nordavind, it’s difficult to predict how these two sides will stack up against each other. The best-of-one (Bo1) online format does not make it any easier.

Form-wise, Hard Legion hold a slight advantage over Nordavind, while the CIS roster’s average player rating is marginally higher across the last three months (1.048 – 1.018). In their last five fixtures, HL defeated HellRaisers, Tricked and AGO, while Nordavind only managed two wins over SKADE.

The map pools look fairly similar, although they further solidify Hard Legion’s favouritism. Nuke and Train are likely to be banned, and the Russians hold a better win rate on three of the remaining five maps. Even then, Nordavind’s advantage on Overpass (58% – 56%) and Inferno (45% – 39%) is only slight.

No matter which way you look at it, Hard Legion should have the upper hand in this contest. The online format will keep it entertaining, but Nordavind, missing their IGL, will struggle to stay within three rounds.

HELLRAISERS VS NORDAVIND ESEA SEASON 33: PREMIER DIVISION EUROPE BETTING PREVIEW

HellRaisers and Nordavind will meet on the battlefield this Tuesday in Week 1 of the European ESEA Season 33: Premier Division, where we will see 20 CS:GO esports teams duke it out for a ticket to the LAN finals and one of the two spots at the Season 33 Global Challenge.

HellRaisers earned their place at the online tournament by finishing 11th-12th at ESL Pro League Season 10 – Europe back in November, marking their first appearance in an ESEA event since the Ukrainian CS:GO team won the Season 21 Europe Finals in May 2016. A lot has changed in the intervening years, but Kirill “ANGE1” Karasiow is still the in-game leader. He is joined by ?ygimantas “nukkye” Chmieliauskas, Vadim “Flarich” Karetin, Igor “crush” Shevchenko, and Ivan “AiyvaN” Semenets, who arrived in December as a replacement for Alexander “scoobyxie” Marynych.

HellRaisers made a short appearance at the DreamHack Open Leipzig 2020: European Open Qualifier, where they crashed out in round one after suffering a 14-16 loss to Helsinki REDS. In late January, HellRaisers also took a swing at the LEGENDS.BET L33T CUP, where they swept Axis twice and Copenhagen Flames to secure a spot in the playoffs.

Nordavind enter ESEA S33 following a successful run through Europe Minor Championship – Rio 2020 Open Qualifiers #2, where the Norwegian squad defeated NoPlan (16-2), IQFIGHTERS (16-6), FATE Esports (16-8), ex-Virtus.pro (16-8) and PACT (2-1) to book a spot in the next stage of Rio Major qualifiers.

Earlier this month, Ruben “RUBINO” Villarroel and his men also took a swing at the European open qualifiers for the inaugural season of the newly announced FLASHPOINT CS:GO league, but they lost their opening fixture against Team Secret (1-2) and thus crashed out of the event on day one.

The Norwegians saw a fair amount of success in domestic tournaments last year, finishing second at Telialigaen – Spring 2019 and Telialigaen – Fall 2019, third at the UCC Summer Smash and first at both the LOOT.BET Smack My Beach Cup and ESEA Season 32: Advanced Division – Europe.

Unlike HellRaisers, who have made only one change to their roster in 2020, Nordavind have acquired two new members in ex-Gamer Legion rifler Kevin “HS” Tarn and former Heroic AWPer Niels Christian “NaToSaphiX” Sillassen. The latter also played as a stand-in for mousesports at cs_summit 5, where he claimed his first CS:GO LAN title.

HS arrived at Nordavind as a replacement for Haris “H4RR3” Had?i? and NaToSaphiX took over from H?kon “hallzerk” Fj?rli, who joined former Ninjas in Pyjamas legends at the newly formed Dignitas CS:GO roster.

HELLRAISERS VS NORDAVIND ESEA MDL S33 EUROPE BETTING PREDICTIONS

While we agree that HellRaisers are the stronger team, the odds make us believe esports bookmakers slightly underestimate Nordavind.

These two last met at the GG.Bet Chicago Invitational in June 2019, where the Ukrainian squad won 16-8. Since then Nordavind have acquired two new members and HellRaisers have added three new players to their roster, meaning the previous results don’t hold any weight for this betting prediction.

HellRaisers will enter the match with better form than Nordavind, who have played only a few matches with their new core, but the Scandinavian side’s new-look roster is performing well.

Both sides have the same favourite map, Overpass, where HellRaisers hold a 54% win rate in 13 games. Nordavind have won 71% of their seven games played on the map and are also on a five-game winning streak there. Nordavind have a better record on Inferno (70%-40%) and Nuke (71%-44%), but they are at a heavy disadvantage on Mirage (0%-60%), Train (0%-50%) and Vertigo (25%-80%).

Because this will be a best-of-one (Bo1) bout, we expect the teams to stick to what they know and pick Overpass. For that reason, we believe Nordavind will keep the match to within three rounds and maybe even pinch the win.
