Floppy Set to Stay at Cloud9

We finally have confirmation that Ricky “?floppy?” Kemery will remain with Cloud9 in the new Counter-Strike: Global Offensive rebuild. Hes the fourth member to be signed in this period. Were still awaiting the final two signings as GM Henry “HenryG” Greer has confirmed hes building a six-man squad.

The decision to keep floppy on the team should prove beneficial as hes on his way to becoming one of the best players in the US. There are mixed feelings among fans regarding the rebuild, but floppy should keep hope alive as hes a star player.

The new Cloud9 CS: GO roster will shift from an American base to the European region.

SKADE Disqualified from ESEA MDL Season 35

It seems that every passing week brings a negative light to the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive community. Over recent weeks, several star players announced their departure from the game as they transition to Valorant.

After dozens of coaches received bans for using a bug to their advantage, some have put their rosters in jeopardy. SKADE, who were ranked fourth on the ESEA MDL Season 35 standings, are now disqualified.

During Season 34, their coach, Nikolay “?pNshr?” Paunin, used a spectator bug in several rounds when the team played against Movistar Riders. ESIC have already sanctioned him, but the news that he used the bug in the ESEA MDL competition resulted in his teams disqualification.

This dismissal opens the door for other rosters to move up the ladder, although the odds remain in Sprouts favor to win the ESEA MDL S35 campaign.

While we await the organizations name and future roster announcement, were hoping that the two former teammates achieve more success than they did with Imperial.

Oceanic Esports League Week 10

The highlight of matchday three in the Oceanic Esports League will be the battle between Adio Chula and Bokebi. The two are fierce competitors, sitting third and fourth respectively in the standings.

Bokebi are the clear favorites at Dota 2 betting sites on the back of their superior recent form. Adio Chula have plateaued of late, closing two of their latest games in a draw. On the other hand, Bokebi are on a winning streak, with their only loss coming from a match against the near-unstoppable cuteanimegirls.

Are You Ready for IEM New York: North America?

IEM New York: North America has just kicked off with a wealth of diversity between the favorites in the title betting. FURIA of Brazil are in the top four to win, but they face fierce competition in Group A from Evil Geniuses.

In Group B, Team Liquid are well backed at US betting sites, but they need to get through 100 Thieves and their mostly Australian squad. We love the diversity in the competition this campaign, as itll be exciting to see the various strategy dynamics come into play.

Dota PIT Season 3: China Eliminations

Time flies when youre having fun, and we cant believe were already at the elimination stages of China Dota PIT Season 3. It feels as though the campaign started a few days ago, but here we are.

The first two teams eliminated from the tournament were Sparking Arrow Gaming and Invictus Gaming. Both sides had poor performances throughout and lost each game in the group stage.

With those two knocked out, were ready for the next round of eliminations. We see Vici Gaming are favourites with Dota 2 betting sites in the first upper-bracket round as they take on Team MagMa. Vici are a powerhouse in the region, and its tough for most competitors to take them down.

The battle between EHOME and Royal Never Give Up has the betting odds slightly skewed in favor of the former. This one will be a tight game and will come down to who can assert their dominance from the beginning.

Astralis Bring Back Xyp9x?

Not too long ago, Astralis took the title at the ESL Pro League. They are set to use the same active roster for the upcoming DreamHack Open Fall Regional Major Ranking tournament. It was a winning recipe for ESL, and theres no reason to fix what isnt broken.

OG vs ALLIANCE OGA DOTA PIT 2020 ONLINE: EUROPE/CIS BETTING PREVIEW

The fourth competitive day of OGA Dota PIT 2020 Online: EU/CIS will see European giants OG and Alliance meet for the third time this year.

OG have struggled since the start of April, as highlighted by their mixed run at ESL One Los Angeles 2020 – Online: Europe & CIS. While the back-to-back champions of The International looked solid through the group stage and brushed aside Team Secret (2-0) in the first round of the playoffs, they fell apart against Virtus.pro in the upper bracket finals (0-2) and again in the grand finals (2-3).

Things went took a nasty turn in the Pushka League, where OG lost their first four fixtures and failed to reach the playoffs. They finished the tournament with only two wins, against Team Nigma (2-0) and Ninjas in Pyjamas (2-1), while they lost to Team Secret (1-2), Team Liquid (0-2), Alliance (1-2) and, remarkably, their own academy team, OG.Seed (1-2).

With a 6-4 record in their past 10 outings, kicked off OGA Dota PIT 2020 Online: Europe/CIS with a commanding 2-0 win over HellRaisers and added a 2-1 victory over Nigma at the Gamers Without Borders 2020 charity tournament. However, OG disappointed once more on Saturday when they lost to Natus Vincere (1-2) in the semi-finals of Gamers Without Borders.

SEE ALSO: HOW TO BET ON DOTA 2 ESPORTS

OG’s rocky form has more than a little to do with the absence of star midlaner Topias Miikka “Topson” Taavitsainen. Although the Finn has returned to Europe after travel restrictions kept him locked down in Southeast Asia for several weeks, he will take no part in the OGA Dota Pit Online event. As such, Sbastien “Ceb” Debs will continue to deputise in the midlane.

Alliance participated in the same three tournaments as OG in the lead-up to OGA Dota PIT 2020 Online, and they produced similar results. Gustav “s4” Magnusson and his crew finished ESL One LA in seventh-eighth place after suffering a shock 1-2 defeat to Vikin.gg in the first round of the playoffs. They followed that up with a very stable showing at Pushka League, where they reached the second round of the playoffs, and then bowed out in the semi-finals of Gamers Without Borders.

At OGA Dota PIT, Alliance won their opening fixture against Vikin.gg (1-2) despite a shaky overall performance. Jonathan “Loda” Berg’s side deserve some slack, however, as Vikin.gg have proved they know how to get under the skin of stronger sides.

OG vs ALLIANCE OGA DOTA PIT 2020 ONLINE: EUROPE/CIS BETTING PREDICTIONS

The most recent meeting between these two sides took place in late April during WePlay! Pushka League S1: Division 1, where OG came away with a narrow 2-1 win. Since then, Alliance have won six out of their last nine games, while OG have played eight matches and won four. There is not much separating the two on form and recent history shows that OG and Alliance tend to produce close bouts.

Alliance have improved significantly with Artsiom “fng” Barshak as a stand-in player and should be more than capable of winning at least one map here. Backing Alliance to cover a +1.5 handicap offers no value at $1.39, so the overs on the 2.5-map line looks like the way to go.

TEAM SPIRIT vs NINJAS IN PYJAMAS OGA DOTA PIT 2020 ONLINE: EUROPE/CIS BETTING PREVIEW

Team Spirit and Ninjas in Pyjamas are scheduled to meet on Monday in the final fixture of the third matchday at OGA Dota PIT 2020 Online: Europe/CIS.

Ninjas in Pyjamas will be entering this bout following a humiliating display at Gamers Without Borders (GWB) 2020 tournament, where Akbar “SoNNeikO” Butaev and co. suffered an early exit after they lost to Team Secret (0-2) in the quarter-finals. Prior to their appearance at GWB, NiP also took a swing at WePlay! Pushka League Season 1: Division 1, but failed to leave any substantial impact.

Although NiP pocketed a few notable wins through the group stage, namely their 2-1 win over OG and two clean sweeps against Nigma and Team Liquid, NiP’s playoffs run came to an end in the second round, where they lost to VP.Prodigy and Virtus.pro, thus ended the tournament at a fifth-sixth place. On a more positive note, Ninjas in Pyjamas got off to a flying start at OGA Dota PIT, as they already picked up two wins against Liquid (2-1) and Virtus.pro (2-0) and are currently sitting at the top of the Group B.

Since NiP signed the Chicken Fighters roster in April, their results have been all over the place, although, overall the Swedish esports organisation have improved. With their new roster, NiP have won six out of their last 12 games played, which includes triumphs over Nigma, Liquid, HellRaisers and Virtus.pro.

While NiP have been slowly getting back on their feet, Team Spirit have found themselves in a downwards spiral. Since Spirit parted ways with Igor “iLTW” Filatov in March, their results have been anything but promising, although that is not to say Spirit were anywhere near decent before that.

Spirit’s sole promising performance came at ESL One Los Angeles 2020: Europe & CIS, where they finished as the second seed in Group B, picking up wins against Alliance, NaVi, Team Liquid and (the old) NiP. Their playoffs run, however, came to nothing, as Mikhail “Misha” Agatovlost and his crew lost to Virtus.pro and Chicken Fighters and finished the tournament at a fifth-sixth place. In May, Spirit finished 11th-12th at WePlay! Pushka League Season 1: Division 1 and concluded their run through Epic Prime League Season 1 at fourth place.

Their journey through OGA Dota PIT did not start too well either, seeing how Spirit already lost the opening fixture against Team Liquid, who disposed of the CIS roster with relative ease, finishing the series with an aggregate kill score of 53-23 and over 25k gold lead. This was only one of many disappointing showings from Spirit, who have won only two out of their last 11 fixtures, and even those came against weaker sides in Cyber Legion and Team Unique.

TEAM SPIRIT vs NINJAS IN PYJAMAS OGA DOTA PIT 2020 ONLINE: EUROPE/CIS BETTING PREDICTIONS

Ninjas in Pyjamas are entering this match priced as a massive favourite and there are no arguments to be made against that. While NiP are by no means a team that will be contesting silverware in top-tier tournament anytime soon, they’re in a much better spot to make something happen at OGA Dota PIT compared to Spirit.

Although Spirit field talented CIS Dota2 players, their performances in the past month are very concerning. They’re entering this match with a four-game losing streak, which includes two 0-2 defeats to FlyToMoon. Considering Spirit are struggling against tier-2 teams, there is no reason to believe they can cause any problems to NiP’s roster, who already defeated them twice this year.

OG vs HELLRAISERS OGA Dota PIT 2020 Online: Europe/CIS BETTING PREVIEW

The newly announced OGA Dota PIT 2020 Online tournament for European and CIS teams is set to get underway this Wednesday with an opening fixture between HellRaisers and OG.

Although OG assembled their new roster over three months ago, we have only seen their full lineup in action twice – at the open and closed qualifiers for ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Europe, where they lost only one map across both events. The COVID-19 pandemic has made it impossible for such a diverse team to field a complete squad, so they have been forced to use stand-in players over the past few weeks.

At the WePlay! Pushka League, which concluded last week, OG finished in ninth-10th place with a 2-4 record, but that was no shock given Irakli “W1sh-” Peranidze was filling in and Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng was forced to play with 190+ ping. OG have yet to unveil their lineup for OGA Dota PIT event, but Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen has returned to Europe this weekend and is expected to play.

SEE ALSO: BEST DOTA2 BETTING SITES

HellRaisers enter the OGA Dota PIT tournament on the heels of a very shaky run in the Pushka League. While they managed to top their group with a 5-1 record, Alexander “Nix” Levin and co. crashed and burned in the playoffs with losses to Ninjas in Pyjamas and Virtus.pro.

Inconsistency has been the main theme for HellRaisers throughout 2020. In March, Nix and his crew made it to the WeSave! Charity Play finals, only to lose to Nigma (2-3), while they completely underperformed at Parimatch League Season 2, where they finished third following a humiliating 0-2 loss against FlyToMoon.

HellRaisers have proven before that they can exploit the weaknesses of the stronger teams, due largely to the vast experience of Gleb “Funn1k” Lipatnikov and Vladimir “RodjER” Nikogosyan. When it comes to raw quality, however, HellRaisers are somewhat lacking.

OG vs HELLRAISERS OGA Dota PIT 2020 Online: Europe/CIS BETTING PREDICTIONS

These teams met in mid-April at ESL One Los Angeles 2020 – Online: Europe & CIS, where OG came out ahead with a convincing 2-0 win despite fielding Neta “33” Shapira and Sebastien “Ceb” Debs as stand-ins. While they enter this match with a different roster, we can still use that result a strong indicator.

If OG stomped HellRaisers with 33 in the team, they should have no difficulties now that Topson is back in the fold. The Finnish star might be a bit rusty considering he hasn’t played a competitive Dota2 match since February, but his quality alone takes this team to a different level.

Even if we consider the worst-case scenario, where Topson will not be able to play for OG, the outright odds on OG are just too high for us to ignore.

DOTA PIT Online to continue with Europe and CIS tournament https://www.grivaschess.com/dota-pit-online-to-continue-with-europe-and-cis-tournament/ https://www.grivaschess.com/dota-pit-online-to-continue-with-europe-and-cis-tournament/#respond Mon, 11 May 2020 05:36:21 +0000 https://www.grivaschess.com/?p=11316 One Game Agency (OGA) recently announced the AMD SAPPHIRE DOTA PIT Online EU-CIS tournament, which will see the strongest Dota2 esports teams from Europe and the CIS region duke it out from May 13-23.

The lineup includes four previous winners of The International – Natus Vincere, Alliance, Team Liquid and two-time champions OG – as well as household names Team Secret, Virtus.pro, HellRaisers, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Team Spirit and Vikin.gg.

The tournament is slated to launch on Wednesday, May 13 and offers a US $150,000 prize pool. The group stage will run for one week, after which the top eight teams will enter the playoffs. The grand finals are scheduled to be played on Saturday, May 23, where the winner will take home $62,000 and the runners-up will pocket a consolation prize of $32,000.

The participating teams have been divided into two groups of five. Unlike the WePlay! Pushka League, where the European and CIS teams are segregated, each group features a mix of rosters from both regions.

Group A: Alliance, HellRaisers, Natus Vincere, OG, Vikin.gg
Group B: Ninjas in Pyjamas, Team Liquid, Team Secret, Team Spirit, Virtus.pro

While the overall lineup at OGA Dota PIT 2020 Online: Europe/CIS is worthy of a major tournament, Group B is the obvious group of death. Featuring DreamLeague Season 13 winners Team Secret, ESL One Los Angeles 2020 champions Virtus.pro, the resurgent Team Liquid and the newly formed Ninjas in Pyjamas, that side of the draw is shaping up as a bloodbath.

Group A, meanwhile, will give OG an excellent opportunity to bounce back from their underwhelming run in the WePlay! Pushka League, where the European juggernauts finished in ninth-10th place. The back-to-back TI champions have had to play with stand-ins in their last three competitive endeavours, and that looks likely to be the case again.

Due to OG’s ongoing struggles, Alliance are billed as the favourites to secure the top spot in Group A. However, with HellRaisers, Natus Vincere and Vikin.gg standing in their way, their success is far from guaranteed.

DOTA PIT Minor 2020 was supposed to be the fourth Dota2 Minor tournament of the 2019/20 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) season. It was originally scheduled to take place on April 23-26 at the Spaladium Arena in Split, Croatia, but was cancelled in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a replacement, OGA decided to host a number of regional DOTA PIT Online tournaments.

The DOTA PIT Online series started earlier this month with a Chinese league featuring nine teams and US $60,000 in the prize pool. OGA Dota PIT 2020 Online: China has been running since May 1 and is scheduled to conclude this Monday with a grand finals fixture between ViCi Gaming and PSG.LGD.
