While some sides are already guaranteed to advance, others need to bounce back if they want to feature among the final 16 teams on Friday, August 17.
Without further ado, let’s look at the latest odds and the best bets for the last 12 matches of the group stage.
UNITS ($5.00) can claim top spot with an upset win over FaZe Clan ($1.14), but they would need to produce something remarkable for that to happen.
While we can expect a solid fight from UNITS, who looked strong in their wins over Animosity and Mazer, they will struggle to defeat a FaZe outfit that has big ambitions.
FaZe -1.5 – $1.36 at GG Bet
Reciprocity ($1.12) are heavy favourites to defeat Sage eSports ($5.50), which is nothing shocking.
Sage’s ability to take advantage of oppositions mistakes make them a solid pick against most teams of their own calibre, but Reciprocity are not one of those teams.
With Dylan “Dylan” Henderson in excellent form, this should be a routine win for the pros.
Reciprocity -1.5 – $1.40 at GG Bet
As the odds suggest Animosity ($6.00) will have a hard time defeating Mazer ($1.11).
Mazer can be deadly when Michael “SpaceLy” Schmale gets into a winning rhythm, as Gen.G found out on day one.
That is all academic to Animosity, who will struggle to compete even if SpaceLy fails to deliver his best.
Mazer -1.5 – $1.33 at GG Bet
Team EnVy ($1.03) should not have any issues dismantling LGND Status ($10.50).
While nV are suffering from poor form, they have an incredibly experienced roster that should wipe the floor with teams of LGND’s kind.
All in all, EnVy should stroll to a 3-0 win unless they much things up in spectacular fashion.
Team EnVyUs -2.5 – $1.57 at GG Bet
Midnight ($4.33) will look for an upset win against 100 Thieves ($1.20), who should already have secured a spot in the playoffs by now.
Whereas 100T are well established on the professional esports scene, Midnight are a solid outfit capable of matching stronger sides.
The underdogs will have a chance if Bradley “Frosty” Bergstrom and Christopher “Parasite” Duarte deliver, but Thieves will not be happy with anything less than a strong win in their final group game.
100 Thieves -1.5 – $1.53 at GG Bet

This promises to be a very close match between two teams who have the potential to finish among the final 16.
Singularity ($2.00) are a solid team, but they are still amateurs playing in a field full of professionals.
While the gap between the two realms can sometimes be very thin, UYU ($1.72) have what it takes to show everyone the difference between them.
UYU to win – $1.72 at GG Bet
The odds offered on Luminosity ($1.03) and Vanity ($10.50) indicate the latter side will have to produce a miracle to win, which is more than fair.
While Luminosity look solid with their improved roster, Vanity have struggled in recent times and will have to lift significantly to compete at this level.
Get on the favourites to win this clash in a 3-0 clean sweep.
Luminosity Gaming -2.5 – $1.57 at GG Bet
Sicario Gaming are offered odds of $1.36 to defeat Fury Gaming ($3.00) in what could prove to be a close match.
While not among the top dogs in the CWL Championship, Sicario can match it with big guns and feature a healthy mix of young talent and experienced veterans in their roster.
FURY do not lack in experience and talent either, and they are a good chance to win at least one map if SnD specialist Ted “TeddyRecKs” Kim delivers the goods.
FURY Gaming +1.5 – $1.83 at GG Bet
The last time bracket on Thursday features a must-watch match between CWL Pro League rivals OpTic Gaming ($1.44) and Evil Geniuses ($2.62).
OpTic have won each of the last three meetings between these two, but EG’s improved form could signal an end to that streak.
Even if OpTic come out on top again, Evil Geniuses look a very good bet to push them to five games.
Evil Geniuses +1.5 – $1.72 at GG Bet
For Heretics ($1.33), this is a must-win match as they take on the worst team in Group H.
As the pro team in this matchup, they should not have any problems against an Aspire ($3.25) outfit that fell well short against Splyce.
While it would not be a huge surprise if Aspire were to win a map, Heretics should manage no worse than a 3-1 win.
Team Heretics -1.5 – $1.83 at GG Bet
The match between Splyce ($1.11) and Hybrid Gaming ($6.00) will be the last fixture of Group H.
Splyce are the top dogs in their pool and drove that point home with a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Aspire on the opening day.
While a solid amateur team, Hybrid lack the needed experience and quality to stand up to the pros.
Splyce -1.5 – $1.33 at GG Bet
Carnage Gaming ($2.10) and TrainHard ($1.66) promise to deliver a close match between the two Group G underdogs.
It looks like the esports betting sites have got the odds the wrong way round, however, as Carnage should be the favourites.
Boasting Nathaniel “Pentagrxm” Thomas as their star player, Carnage will fancy their chances against a TrainHard side who will struggle to justify their price.
Carnage Gaming to win – $2.10 at GG Bet
]]>While day one gave everyone a chance to find their rhythm, day two will determine who goes through to the knockout rounds.
Let’s look at the matchups and the latest odds for the morning session on Thursday, August 15.
Day two will kick off with a Pool E clash between Luminosity ($1.12) and UYU ($5.50).
UYU, one of the teams who entered the CWL Championship via the play-in stage, are far from a guaranteed spot in the top two.
Their results throughout the season were by no means good, although there were some signs of improvement in Miami.
Still, we do not believe that will be enough to withstand Luminosity, who look solid with their revamped roster and should finish top of the group.
Luminosity -1.5 – $1.40 at GG Bet
Midnight ($1.28) enter their clash against Sicario Gaming ($3.50) as favourites, mostly due to the fact they have two-time Halo champion Bradley “Frosty” Bergstrom on their team.
Sicario are an underrated team, despite the fact they have a solid roster that contains a nice blend of veterans and young stars.
While underdogs on paper, we believe Sicario have enough firepower and experience to push Midnight to five games.
Sicario Gaming +1.5 – $2.00 at GG Bet
FURY Gaming ($17.00) are expected to have a hard time standing up to North American powerhouse 100 Thieves ($1.01).
100T are aiming for nothing less than a first-place finish in Pool F, which means they cannot afford any slip-ups against lesser opponents.
FURY will have to be on top of their game to even compete, but recent results suggest they will fall a long way short.
100 Thieves -2.5 – $1.40 at GG Bet
Singularity ($1.12) are short-priced favourites to beat Vanity ($5.50), but the odds don’t quite add up.
The Danes finished the CWL Amateur Finals in fifth-sixth place, which is much better than Vanity’s 17th-24th finish.
That being said, the Americans have an ace in the hole in the form of Joseph “Owakening” Conley, who played well at the Amateur Finals and could cause Singularity some real problems if he maintains those standards at the CoD Champs.
Vanity +1.5 – $2.75 at GG Bet
Splyce ($1.57) want nothing less than a playoffs appearance this year, meaning a win over Heretics ($2.25) is a must.
They will count on Donovan “Temp” Laroda and Cuyler “Huke” Garland to be on top of their game and considering this might be the last chance for them to play together, we expect them to deliver.
Heretics have not looked the same since Endika “Sukry” Andres left them in June, so will have to produce something remarkable to defeat Splyce.
Splyce to win – $1.57 at GG Bet
OpTic Gaming ($1.05) have a lot to prove following their disastrous show in Miami.
While recent results suggest they are not in the best shape, they are still far superior to teams such as Carnage ($8.50) even on their worst day.
Expect OpTic to come out with all guns blazing here and demolish Carnage, who will struggle to win a single map.
OpTic Gaming -2.5 – $1.80 at GG Bet
The odds suggest Aspire ($1.53) are strong favourites to defeat Hybrid Gaming ($2.37), but that doesn’t tell the whole story.
While Aspire finished in seventh-eighth spot at the CWL Amateur Finals, Hybrid ended up only one bracket below in ninth-12th place.
It is also worth noting Hybrid boast the experienced duo Tristan “Spoof” Green and Casey “Pandur” Romano, who are more than capable of carrying their team to an upset win.
Hybrid Gaming to win – $2.37 at GG Bet

It should come as no surprise that Evil Geniuses ($1.08) are short-priced favourites to beat the amateurs of TrainHard ($12.00).
Indeed, the gulf in quality between these two teams is so vast that it is difficult to even compare them.
Expect nothing less than a dominant win from EG here.
Evil Geniuses -1.5 – $1.50 at GG Bet
Gen.G ($1.22) are already out of the tournament after shock losses to Fuego Gaming and Team WaR on day one.
The Americans’ early elimination comes as a huge surprise given their runner-up finishes at their last two LAN events.
That means Enigma6 ($4.00) are now odds-on to finish top of the group, but Gen.G might yet spoil the party as they look to salvage some pride.
Gen.G -1.5 – $1.57 at GG Bet
This is a must-win for eUnited ($1.07), as anything less than that will be a huge disappointment.
Considering the difference in quality, as well as form, something would have to go terribly wrong for the pros to even come close to losing this one
Team eLevate ($7.50) will struggle to win a single map.
eUnited -1.5 – $1.25 at GG Bet
The clash between Team WaR ($1.16) and Fuego Gaming ($4.50) should be an interesting one to watch as two underdogs try to claim what could be their only win of the group stage.
Neither team has a chance to finish in the top two places, which will go to CWL Pro League sides Gen.G and Enigma6.
Fuego are widely considered to be one of the worst teams in the tournament, and that lack of expectation could allow them to fly under the radar and take Team WaR to five maps.
Fuego Gaming +1.5 – $2.62 at GG Bet
It’s hard to argue Celtic FC ($1.11) are anything less than the second-best team in Pool A, whereas RBL eSports ($6.00) are arguably the worst.
A lot of hopes have been put on Celtic, who are rated as the best bet among the amateur sides after their win at the CWL Finals in Miami.
They should have no problems walking over RBL eSports and into the playoffs.
Celtic FC -1.5 – $1.33 at GG Bet
]]>While a shadow of their former selves, OpTic ($1.02) should not have any issues leaving a mark on the CWL Championship. A third-place finish at CWL London and CWL Anaheim followed by a first-second finish in the CWL Pro League put a lot of pressure on OpTic to perform in the playoffs, where they failed to deliver.
Seventh-eighth place is far from what the fans expected and a clear indication OpTic have lost their rhythm. While there is no denying the OpTic we watch today is not the same as OpTic of the past, the North American powerhouse should have no problem reaching the round of 16.
TrainHard ($12.00) enter the match as underdogs, which is more than fair. This is a team that finished ninth-12th in both the Anaheim Open and the CWL Amateur Finals, which highlights the gulf in class between them and squads of OpTic’s calibre.
OpTic Gaming -2.5 – $1.50 at GG Bet
Every now and again, an opportunity presents itself for an underdog to prevail against the favourite, which is what we might be looking at in the match between Splyce ($1.25) and Aspire ([rm_geo_odd val=3.75]).
Splyce seem slightly overrated here, as they were far from solid throughout the CWL season. The North American team finished ninth-12th in London, followed by seventh-eighth place in Anaheim, a fifth-sixth finish in the Pro League and seventh-eighth again in the Pro League Playoffs.

Aspire produced similar results in their amateur league campaign, with a seventh-eighth finish at the CWL Amateur Finals on top of several wins in smaller tournaments. Those victories, however modest, gave the squad a chance to train ahead of major events, which should serve them well on the big stage.
This match will end in favour of the professional team most of the time, but Aspire are well worth a punt at long odds here. While they have not been the most impressive amateur team of the year, they are a team that can produce a solid fight.
Aspire +1.50 – $2.20 at GG Bet
Heretics ($1.16) will take on Hybrid Gaming ($4.50) hoping they can justify their status as favourites in what will be a crucial match to win, should they wish to advance into the playoffs.
The Spanish outfit achieved mediocre results throughout the season, with a fifth-sixth finish at London, seventh-eighth at Anaheim and the Pro League, and ninth-10th place at the Pro League Playoffs.
Heretics are solid performers who often threaten to upset stronger teams. They fought well against the likes of OpTic, Reciprocity, eUnited and other top dogs in the league, even winning a few of those clashes.
While we praise Heretics, there are not many positives to say about a Hybrid side who were underwhelming throughout the season. The ninth-12th finish at the Amateur Finals is their best result of the year so far, and even there they looked shaky.
Team Heretics -1.5 – $1.44 at GG Bet
Evil Geniuses ($1.08) enter their fixture against Carnage Gaming ($7.00) as heavy favourites. When you consider the form of the teams, however, this one could spell an upset win for the underdogs.
It’s no secret Evil Geniuses have not been performing up to par this season. A 13th-16th finish at Anaheim, 11th-12th at the Pro League and a disastrous ninth-10th at the Pro League Playoffs is all could muster up in their recent outings.

Carnage, meanwhile, enter the CWL Championship following a seventh-eighth finish at the CWL Amateur Finals, where they played reasonably well. Unfortunately, they ended up losing to Mazer in the upper bracket and Singularity in the lower bracket, which saw them exit the tournament earlier than they had hoped.
All in all, Carnage Gaming and their roster have their moments of weakness as well as moments of greatness, which makes us believe they could take advantage of EG’s poor form and upset the giants.
Carnage to win – $7.00 at GG Bet
The tournament favourites take on the CWL Amateur Finals champions in a match that will draw plenty of attention.
As the best of the pro teams, eUnited ($1.06) are heavily backed to win their afternoon bout.
The odds are stacked against Celtic FC ($8.00), who will have to produce a miracle to beat the top seed.
While there is plenty to like about Celtic, this should be a routine win for eUnited.
eUnited -2.5 – $1.83 at GG Bet
The clash between Gen.G ($1.07) and Team WaR ($7.50) will be every bit as one-sided as the odds suggest.
Gen.G are one of the top four contenders for the title. They have a solid roster that produces solid results with very few slip-ups.
While carrying high expectations is no easy task, Joey “Nubzy” DiGiacomo and his men are experienced enough to get the job done.
Gen.G -1.5 – $1.25 at GG Bet
Enigma ($1.05) enter the fixture against Fuego ($8.50) as heavy favourites, which should come as no surprise.
Fuego finished fourth at the EEG European League 2019 Season 3 Playoffs – a minor tournament with a €2,270 prize pool – and are widely considered the worst team in Pool B.
Enigma are far from world-beaters, but they are without a doubt a class or two above Fuego, who should struggle to win a single map here.
Enigma -2.5 – $1.80 at GG Bet
Elevate are heavy favourites ($1.05) to defeat RBL eSports, which is more than fair.
Formerly known as Firesticks, RBL finished the CWL Amateur Finals in 13th-16th spot. They showed glimpses of promise in that event, but promise alone will not cut it in Pool A.
SEE ALSO: CALL OF DUTY ESPORTS BETTING
Paired with Celtic FC and two pro teams, RBL eSports will be the underdogs in all three fixtures.
Elevate did not have the best of seasons this year, but they should have enough quality to overcome RBL.
Elevate -2.5 – $1.72 at GG Bet
A clash of the Pool D titans will kick off the 5:30pm time bracket as Reciprocity ($1.28) clash with Team Envy ($3.50).
The two favourites to advance from the group will show off their might in a fixture that will decide which team will finish top and which will settle for second place.
Both are expected to bring their A-game, which makes this one of the matches to watch on day one.
Expect Reciprocity to defeat Envy and establish themselves as top dogs in the pool.
Reciprocity to win – $1.28 at GG Bet
FaZe ($1.11) have a lot to prove in the CWL Championship and a lot to lose in the match against Mazer ($6.00), who will look to dethrone the iconic CoD team.
Mazer will have to be on top of their game, while FaZe cannot afford another slip-up following a poor 2019 season.
FaZe will look to dominate this match from the get-go and make a statement en route to a first-place finish in the group.
FaZe Clan -1.5 – $1.33 at GG Bet
The clash between UNITS ($1.08) and Animosity ($7.00) will prove to be a real test for the latter side.
Should UNITS win their first match against Mazer, which we expect will happen, they will not want to let a sure thing slide in their second fixture.
Expect UNITS to take a step towards the playoffs with a comfortable win over Animosity.
UNITS -1.5 – $1.28 at GG Bet
Sage eSports ($1.16) versus LGND Status CG ($4.50) will put two of the worst teams from Pool D head-to-head to decide which of the two deserves to exit the tournament with some dignity.
All things considered, this looks like a straightforward win for Sage, who are better than LGND Status CG in all aspects.
LGND will look for an upset here, but if their performances at the CWL Amateur Finals are anything to go by, they will have a hard time winning a single map.
Sage eSports -1.5 – $1.44 at GG Bet
]]>The Call of Duty World League Championship is back, once again putting 32 of the best CoD teams head-to-head in what promises to be a spectacle no esports fan should miss.
Providing us with three days of non-stop action and countless betting opportunities, the CWL Championship gathers Call of Duty esports enthusiasts and avid gamblers alike as the best in the world battle over US $800,000 prize money.
The tournament returns to Los Angeles this year for the sixth edition and will kick off on August 16 with group stage matches, where the 32 teams are divided into eight sections of four. Each group will consist of two pro teams and two amateur teams, giving the latter a chance to prove their worth to the world.
A round-robin format with best-of-five series will be used to determine which two teams emerge victorious in their group and advance into the knockout stage. The bottom two teams in each section will be eliminated.
The knockout stage is set to begin on August 17, a day after the group stage concludes. The second phase will also use Bo5 series, while a double-elimination bracket means each team will have two chances to reach the finals, via the upper bracket or via the lower bracket.
After five rounds of playoffs conclude, the grand finals will take centre stage on August 18 and mark the end of the Call of Duty World League 2019 season.
Who out of the 32 participants will emerge as the champions is yet to be seen, and while the competition looks as tough as any year before, there are a handful of teams who are considered the favourites to go all the way. One of the most talked-about teams ahead of the CWL Championship is eUnited, who earned their spot at the final event by winning the CWL Pro League Playoffs ahead of Gen.G.
Established in late 2016, eUnited won their first event in 2017 when they took home $80,000 at the Atlanta Open. In years that followed, eUnited kept themselves on the radar, but with no exceptional results. It was not until late 2018 when they switched into a higher gear and never looked back.
In 2019 alone, eUnited have finished second at CWL London, fifth-sixth at CWL Anaheim, first-second at CWL Pro League and went on to win the CWL Pro League playoffs. Those achievements not only won them close to $600,000 in prize money, but also huge amounts of respect from the CoD community.
$5.00 at GG Bet
Established in 2016 by Call of Duty legend Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag and closely affiliated with the Cleveland Cavaliers, 100 Thieves are a world-renowned organization in the esports community.
Boasting with over $400,000 in CoD esports winnings in 2019 alone, 100 Thieves have amazed this year with top-five finishes in four events and are the only team to have won multiple events in the 2019 CWL season. They emerged victorious at CWL London and CWL Anaheim and also reached a solid fourth-place finish at Fort Worth.
The CWL Playoffs campaign did not go as planned, however, as 100T had to settle for a fifth-sixth place finish, which was their worst placing at an event since CWL Vegas. Seeing how that was a disappointing result, it only proves the quality and the ambitions of a team who will want to impress in front of their home fans in LA.

FaZe Clan are undoubtedly one of the most iconic Call of Duty teams in the world and a squad never to be underestimated.
A huge question mark was put above Richard “RJ” Simoncelli’s squad ahead of the 2019 CoD World League season, mostly due to the team’s subpar results last year. But FaZe were not at all fazed by those doubts and earned themselves a bronze medal at the CWL Pro League Playoffs in late July.
Although that was their only podium finish of the season, it was enough to silence the doubters and establish FaZe as contenders for the title at Pauley Pavilion.

Tied with FaZe as third favourites to emerge victorious in Los Angeles, Gen.G did not need long to prove they belong among the top teams in the world.
While their start of the season was relatively slow, Gen.G found their momentum and performed well towards the end of the campaign. Grand final appearances in both Anaheim and the CWL Pro League Playoffs have put Joey “Nubzy” DiGiacomo and his team on the map and among the favourites to achieve greatness in LA.
Despite the fact Gen.G lost both of their grand finals, which has raised some concern about their ability to perform under high-pressure situations, they are still widely considered a force to be reckoned with.

Luminosity are the sixth favourite to win in Los Angeles, but they should not be ignored by bettors.
The Canadian outfit might not have the flashiest results this season, but they look like a solid team bursting with raw talent. They took a risk swapping Pierce “Gunless” Hillman and Nicholas “Classic” DiCostanzo for Carson “Brack” Newberry and Cesar “Skyz” Bueno, but it has paid off greatly.
Esports bookmakers don’t seem to see Luminosity as a real threat, but this is a team who flew under the radar and could make a big impact in LA. Odds of $7.50 for the title and $4.00 to reach the finals are way too generous and should be considered as serious betting options.
eUnited have played well all year long and seem to have hit their stride at the right time with their win at the CWL Playoffs, but there are a few teams who are more than ready to derail them in LA.
One of the biggest threats for eUnited will be 100 Thieves, who are widely considered to be one of the strongest teams in the Call of Duty scene. They have reached new heights since Preston “Priestahh” Greine and James “Crowder” Crowder joined, and from the looks of it, they are not planning on coming down anytime soon.
The LA team’s wins in London and Anaheim were simply breathtaking, as it seemed like they were playing on their own level. Their underwhelming CWL Playoffs finish is a simple bump in the road to the finals and the title of CWL Champions.
Despite being considered second favourites to eUnited, 100 Thieves simply have too much talent, experience and overall quality to be ignored.
