Team Vitality claimed the title in France, which has seen Dan apEX Madesclaire and his squad elevated to no.1 in the Counter-Strike world rankings.

With yet another strong performance and a third-fourth placing at the Paris Major, Heroic have maintained their top-two spot in the world rankings — albeit losing their no.1 spot to Vitality, who have now won back-to-back events.

The runner-up at the BLAST.tv Paris Major, GamerLegion, were the big surprise packet at the tournament, considering the international squad came into the event as the world no.37.

Since their second-place finish, Kamil siuhy Szkaradek and his young squad have skyrocketed up the world rankings, jumping to the no.7 spot.

Apeks and Monte have also seen their rankings improve massively, with the former rising 15 spots to no.9 and the latter rising 12 spots to no.10.

Outside of the current top 10, Into The Breach have seen their ranking jump sharply to no.15 in the world after their quarterfinal exit at the hands of Team Vitality.

Team Vitality claim BLAST.tv Paris Major title https://www.grivaschess.com/vitality-claim-blast-tv-paris-major-title/ https://www.grivaschess.com/vitality-claim-blast-tv-paris-major-title/#respond Sun, 21 May 2023 18:06:18 +0000 https://www.grivaschess.com/?p=30406 With the support of the home crowd behind them, Team Vitality have claimed the final-ever Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Major — defeating GamerLegion 2-0 in the BLAST.tv Paris Major at Accor Arena on Sunday.

Vitality began their BLAST.tv Paris Major campaign with high expectations, as they had just come off a dominant IEM Spring (IEM Rio 2023) victory a few weeks beforehand, while many esports betting sites had them pinned as one of the favourites to claim the title.

Of the five players on the Vitality roster, the two hometown boys in Dan apEX Madesclaire and Mathieu ZywOo Herbaut had a lot riding on this Major, with the in-game leader searching for his second Major of his career and ZywOo seeking his first.

Emil Magisk Reif now has four Major wins in his career, having claimed three during his time with Astralis.

Magisk’s former Astralis alumni Danny zonic Sorensen and Peter dupreeh Rasmussen also added to their impressive career records, with dupreeh now owning more CS:GO Major wins than any other player in history.

The sixth and final piece of this Vitality roster is Lotan Spinx Giladi, who was signed in August last year and has become the first ever Counter-Strike Major winner from Israel.

Vitality completed the Paris Major without losing a single map — thus matching Natus Vincere, who also managed to win 10 consecutive maps at the PGL Major Stockholm in 2021.

As for the runners-up, GamerLegion surpassed all expectations, with many people predicting them to be knocked out in the Challengers Stage.

However, in front of a hostile French crowd, the inexperience of the GamerLegion roster showed and Vitality took advantage of their mistakes and put them to the sword.

To go with his first Major of his career, ZywOo took home his first Major MVP award, finishing the event with an impressive 1.39 overall rating including a server-high rating in the final of 1.54.

With the final CS:GO Major now over, the next Counter-Strike Major will be played on the new game – Counter-Strike 2 – kicking off in Copenhagen, Denmark, on March 17 next year.

Heroic & Vitality into semi-finals at BLAST.tv Paris Major https://www.grivaschess.com/heroic-vitality-into-semi-finals-at-blast-tv-paris-major/ https://www.grivaschess.com/heroic-vitality-into-semi-finals-at-blast-tv-paris-major/#respond Fri, 19 May 2023 14:30:59 +0000 https://www.grivaschess.com/?p=30348 Heroic and Team Vitality were the clear standout performers during the BLAST.tv Paris Major Legends Stage, and they have now booked their place in the semi-finals after defeating FaZe Clan and Into The Breach in their respective quarter-finals.

Going into the first round of the playoffs, the Heroic and FaZe Clan series was tipped to be one of the best series of the tournament, and it did not disappoint.

The clash between world no. 2 Heroic and world no.3 FaZe was built up to be the clash that Counter-Strike fans deserved at the final CS:GO Major, with two of the best and most consistent teams in the last three years battling it out for one semi-final spot.

The series started on Nuke C map pick of FaZe C where FaZe won five of the first six rounds, however, Heroic took the seventh and began a 13-round win streak, shooting out to a 14-5 lead early on in the second half.

On the back of Robin ropz Kool and Helvijs broky Saukants coming up clutch in a few rounds, FaZe began one of their trademark comebacks to bring the map score all the way back to 15-14, but Heroic steadied and took the final round, securing a 16-14 win to take the first map of the series.

The series then went to Overpass C map pick of Heroic C and from the very beginning FaZe held seemed to be in control, taking a 10-5 half-time lead.

Once again, one of these teams found 15 early in the second half, but couldnt finish, as Heroic made a run of their own, winning seven rounds before FaZe eventually won their 16th round and sent us to the third map, Mirage.

After witnessing two cracking clashes on the first two maps, the third was more of a let-down, as Heroic took a dominant 12-3 lead into half-time before wrapping up the series at 16-6.

With the 2-1 series win, Heroic booked their spot in the semi-finals, and await the the winner of the Monte vs GamerLegion series.

The second quarter-final took place later in the day in the Accor Arena, with Team Vitality and their French superstars clashing with surprise Champions Stage quarter-finalists Into The Breach.

As we predicted in our preview of this series, the difference in ability and massive difference in the world rankings would prove too much for the world no.28 Into The Breach, as the world no.1 flexed their muscles in a 2-0 victory.

Things didnt look great for Vitality on the opening map of Vertigo, as Into The Breach took a 9-6 half-time lead, however, with the help of the home crowd and some top tier teamwork, Dan “apEX” Madesclaire and his squad won 10 of the last 12 rounds and took the map 16-11.

Going into Anubis C map pick of Vitality C Into The Breach put up more of a fight, but on the back of a huge performance by the French superstar AWPer Mathieu ZywOo Herbaut, Vitality took the map and booked their place in the semi-finals, awaiting the winner of the Team Liquid vs Apeks series.

The third and fourth quarter-finals will be played on Friday, with the matches and odds listed below.

Quarter-Finals

  • Monte ($1.61) vs GamerLegion ($2.20) | Friday @ 15:00 CET
  • Team Liquid ($1.40) vs Apeks ($2.75) | Friday @ 19:00 CET

?Two teams no-one even expected to qualify for the Major, let alone reach the Legends Stage, are now set to clash for a spot in the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 semifinals. But as crazy as it may seem that GamerLegion and Monte made it this far, they deserve all the success that’s coming to them.

This is arguably the closest game of the BLAST.tv Paris Major quarterfinals and it is tough to pick the winner. Monte have beaten FURIA, Fnatic, and Natus Vincere, while GamerLegion found success against 9INE, Fnatic, and Apeks, but even though Monte had a tougher schedule, that doesn’t necessarily make them the better team.

But if we zoom out, Monte have been beating teams on their level and stronger opponents for over a month, so perhaps they’re not as weak as it seems. This match can reach the final map, but we have to side with Monte, who have proven to be more consistent than GamerLegion.

?Team Liquid kicked off their BLAST.tv Paris Major campaign with two losses in the Challengers Stage against Apeks and FORZE Esports. But then found traction to win three consecutive games and reached the Legends Stage, where Liquid didn’t disappoint, with wins against 9INE, Natus Vincere and Into The Breach.

Apeks had an even wilder road to the playoffs since they needed to produce a seemingly impossible comeback against Ninjas in Pyjamas in the Legends Stage decider, clawing their way back after trailing 3-14 on Ancient. It was an incredible feat and a further testament to this team’s quality, but the question remains C are Apeks capable of beating Team Liquid?

Team Liquid are not the most consistent team, and they’ve had plenty of disappointing tournament results this season. But when this team is on, they’re tough to beat, and we’ve seen glimpses of that in Liquid’s recent outings.

As the latest CS:GO betting odds suggest, Team Liquid should win, but Apeks have been playing very well over the past month and should be able to keep this match close.

The remaining eight teams will battle it out in a single-elimination playoff bracket as they all strive to become the final CS:GO Major champion. Below you will find our preview and best bets for Thursday’s Heroic vs FaZe Clan and Team Vitality vs Into The Breach clashes, with odds courtesy of the best esports betting sites.

HEROIC vs FAZE CLAN CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Best Odds: Heroic $1.66 at GG Bet | FaZe $2.10 at GG Bet
When: May 18, 2023 | 15:00 BST
Watch Live: BLAST Premier (https://www.twitch.tv/blastpremier)

The opening series of the Champions Stage will be the best of any of the four matchups, where we will see world no.2 Heroic take on world no.5 FaZe Clan. These outfits clashed in the opening round of the Legends Stage, where Heroic thrashed FaZe 16-7 in a best-of-one series.

After winning their first three series of the Legends Stage, Heroic have earned a few days off to rest and prepare for this bout. On their way to the Champions Stage, the all-Danish squad disposed of FaZe Clan and Apeks in their opening one-map series before going on to beat Team Liquid 2-1 in their promotion match.

Heroic proved to everyone that they are one of the teams to beat at the Paris Major, alongside Team Vitality, as they were the first two teams to qualify for the playoffs. Heroic own their last two series against FaZe, including that Legends Stage thrashing, so they will go into this do-or-die clash as the favourite with the top Counter-Strike betting sites.

FaZe Clan are coming off one of their biggest wins in recent times, as they got the better of Natus Vincere in their elimination series of the Legends Stage. This FaZe squad have done things the hard way during their RMR, Challengers Stage and Legends Stage runs, dropping early matches to see them staring down the barrel of possible elimination early on at every stage.

To qualify for the playoffs, Finn karrigan Andersen and his teammates had to go through 9INE, Bad News Eagles and NaVi, which should see them in good stead for this series against one of the best teams in the world. Obviously, FaZe have to flip the script on their big loss to Heroic last time they met, but with a stirring win over NaVi in the back of their mind, we anticipate another strong performance from them.

This series will be the best clash of the quarterfinals, and we expect it to go the distance, so we will be backing the overs in the total maps market.

TEAM VITALITY vs INTO THE BREACH CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Best Odds: Vitality $1.11 at GG Bet | ITB $6.00 at GG Bet
When: May 18, 2023 | 19:00 BST
Watch Live: BLAST Premier (https://www.twitch.tv/blastpremier)

Newly crowned world no.1 Team Vitality will take on world no.28 Into The Breach in the second match of the day. This clash is expected to be much more one-sided than the previous series, due to Vitality’s impressive form and the significant difference in the teams’ respective rankings.

Team Vitality began their BLAST.tv Paris Major campaign on a six-match win streak having won their final six series of IEM Spring (IEM Rio 2023), where they were crowned champions. That streak has since been extended to nine after they defeated G2 Esports, ENCE and Monte en route to the Champions Stage. Vitality go into this clash at unbackable odds to win and set up a meeting with either Apeks or Team Liquid in the semifinals.

Into The Breach werent picked by many to make it through to the Champions Stage, and with their opening round loss to Apeks, you could have been excused for thinking that they would lose to FaZe Clan and drop into the 0-2 pool. However, ITB beat FaZe 16-12 and then proceeded to defeat ENCE 16-7, setting up a series with Team Liquid where they lost 0-2.

To make the playoffs, ITB had to play Fnatic in a best-of-three series. ITB lost the first map 12-16, but they then produced a huge series-levelling win on map two (16-8) before taking the third map 16-4 in fine style. Although these results for ITB are good, they are coming up against the most in-form CS:GO outfit in the world and will have to be at their very best to steal a map from them.

We anticipate a dominant Vitality victory, so we will be taking them at the rounds handicap of -11.5.

BLAST.tv Paris Major Legends Stage recap – Tuesday, May 16 https://www.grivaschess.com/blast-tv-paris-major-recap-may-16/ https://www.grivaschess.com/blast-tv-paris-major-recap-may-16/#respond Wed, 17 May 2023 03:18:23 +0000 https://www.grivaschess.com/?p=30286 The final day of the Legends Stage at the BLAST.tv Paris Major kicked off with a cracking series between two of the greatest CS:GO organisations in the world — FaZe Clan and Natus Vincere.

There wouldnt have been many people that had FaZe and NaVi playing off in an elimination series on the final day of the Legends Stage in their predictions; however, that is exactly what happened after both outfits lost winnable matches on the opening day.

Going into the clash, Finn karrigan Andersen and his squad were ranked as the world no.3, while Denis electroNic Sharipov and his teammates went in as the world no.4.

Across the server there were superstar matchups in most categories, with star snipers Oleksandr s1mple Kostyliev and Helvijs broky Saukants battling it out with the AWPs, and rising-star riflers Valtery b1t Vakhovsky and Robin ropz Kool providing entry frags and dominating with AK47s.

The series started on FaZe Clans map pick of Overpass, where NaVi jumped out to a 9-6 halftime lead, and they held onto that buffer until they took the map 16-13.

NaVis map pick, Mirage, was very one-sided as FaZe went into halftime with a massive 11-4 lead, and it didnt take long for them to wrap up the map (16-5) and send the series to the third map, Anubis.

After the first half of play, the two teams couldnt be split, with NaVi taking an 8-7 lead.

FaZe took the first round of their CT side, but electroNic and co. went onto win the next six to put them up 14-8, only two rounds away from taking the series.

When they took a 15-9 lead it appeared that the series was done and dusted, but no one told broky, as he put his team on his back to win six straight rounds and take the series to overtime.

From there, it was clear that the likes of s1mple and electroNic had lost all faith, and FaZe quickly finished the map and series to send NaVi home from the final CS:GO Major.

Following the blockbuster series of the day, we saw Fnatic take the first map before being reverse-swept by a rampant Into The Breach squad, who gave up only 12 more rounds as they took the second (16-8) and third (16-4) maps.

The final match of the Legends Stage featured world no.10 Ninjas in Pyjamas and world no.19 Apeks, with the latter side winning 2-0 after going to overtime on both Vertigo and Ancient.

With the Legends Stage in the rear-vision mirror, we look ahead to the Champions Stage.

The remaining eight teams will enter the final playoff single-elimination bracket, with the quarterfinals set to begin on Thursday.

G2 entered the final CS:GO Major as the pre-tournament favourites with most esports betting sites, but defeats in their first two series meant they could not afford to lose another.

The reigning BLAST Premier World Final and IEM Katowice champions began their series against Fnatic with a hard-fought overtime victory on Inferno (19-16), before they lost 11-16 on Ancient to send the series to a third map.

On Vertigo, Fnatic jumped out to a 9-6 lead in the first half and appeared to be in control of the map.

Even though G2 won seven straight rounds on their CT side and took the lead at 13-12, the world no.15 levelled up at 13 apiece before rattling off three more rounds to take the victory and send G2 home.

Due to the loss, Nikola NiKo Kovac will never lift a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Major trophy.

NiKo came close on several occasions in his seven years of professional play — notably at the 2018 ELEAGUE Boston and 2021 PGL Major Stockholm Majors when he made the grand final, but his team lost on both occasions.

ENCE and Bad News Eagles joined G2 Esports in being eliminated from the Major, while Monte, Team Liquid and GameLegion advanced to the Champions Stage after taking their records to 3-1.

The final day of the Legends Stage will feature three cracking series, opening with a sudden-death blockbuster between FaZe Clan and Natus Vincere.

The other two series will see Fnatic meet Into The Breach and Apeks take on Ninjas in Pyjamas in do-or-die best-of-three series to end the Legends Stage.

Day 7 matches

  • Natus Vincere ($2.00) vs FaZe Clan ($1.72)
  • Into The Breach ($2.62) vs Fnatic ($1.44)
  • Apeks ($2.50) vs Ninjas in Pyjamas ($1.50)

BLAST.tv Paris Major Day 5 & 6 recap – May 13-14 https://www.grivaschess.com/blast-tv-paris-major-day-five-six-recap/ https://www.grivaschess.com/blast-tv-paris-major-day-five-six-recap/#respond Mon, 15 May 2023 02:50:10 +0000 https://www.grivaschess.com/?p=30239 The opening days of the Legends Stage at the BLAST.tv Paris Major produced several upsets, with pre-tournament fancies G2 Esports and FaZe Clan dropping their opening two matches to set up potential tournament-ending series on Sunday.

G2 began their main event with a best-of-one series against Team Vitality on Saturday, when they were beaten in a thrilling 29-round match.

The world no.3 was then defeated by Bad News Eagles in the second round by the same 16-13 scoreline, resulting in them dropping into the 0-2 pool for an elimination fixture with FURIA.

FaZe Clan have taken the long way through the RMR, Challengers Stage and now the Legends Stage for this final CS:GO Major.

The world no.5 claimed the last spot in the Major by taking out the Last Chance Qualifier, and now the European squad will have to win three straight series to make the playoffs later this week.

After drawing Heroic as their opening opponent in the Legends Stage on Saturday, the odds were stacked against FaZe, and as the all-Danish squad destroyed them 16-7, it appeared as though the 2022 PGL Antwerp Major winners were going to bounce back against Into The Breach with a steadying win.

However, the team ranked 22 spots lower than FaZe brought their A-game and took Inferno 16-12, dropping Finn karrigan Andersen and his squad into an elimination clash with 9INE on Sunday.

Fortunately for G2 and FaZe supporters, both rosters produced some of their best Counter-Strike to win 2-0 over FURIA and 9INE, respectively, and eliminate those two teams from the tournament.

At the other end of the spectrum, Heroic and Team Vitality became the first two teams to qualify for the Champions Stage, after they completed their own undefeated 3-0 runs across Saturday and Sunday with wins over Team Liquid and Monte in best-of-three promotion series.

Heroic and Vitality came into the BLAST.tv Paris Major as the world’s top two CS:GO teams, and they would have to be the two clear favourites to be crowned Major champions at the end of the week.

Round four of the Legends Stage will feature another six matches on Monday, with three 1-2 pool series where the losers will be eliminated and three 2-1 pool series which will see the winners promoted to the Champions Stage.

  • 1-2 Pool BO3 (Elimination Series)

    • ENCE ($1.53) vs Ninjas in Pyjamas ($2.37) @ 11:30 CET
    • FaZe Clan ($1.30) vs Bad News Eagles ($3.40) @ 11:30 CET
    • Fnatic ($4.00) vs G2 Esports ($1.22) @ 15:30 CET
  • 2-1 Pool BO3 (Promotion Series)

    • Monte ($3.40) vs Natus Vincere ($1.30) @ 15:30 BST

9INE vs TEAM LIQUID CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAIL

Best Odds: 9INE $1.80 at GG Bet | TL $1.90 at GG Bet
When: May 13, 2023 | 11:30 CET
Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/blastpremier)

The opening series of the Legends Stage will see the all-Polish roster of 9INE taking on North American roster of Team Liquid.

9INE were very good in their European RMR, where they won all three of the matches and defeated Team Vitality to finish on top of Europe RMR B, seeing them qualify straight into the Legends Stage of the BLAST.tv Paris Major. Team Liquid struggled in both the Americas RMR and the Challengers Stage, where they came back from an 0-2 start to finish 3-2 and become the last team to qualify for the Legends Stage.

After Team Liquid struggled in the Challengers Stage, and now they come up against the second seed in the Legends Stage, we will be taking 9INE to win this series.

NATUS VINCERE vs GAMERLEGION CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAIL

Best Odds: NAVI $1.25 at GG Bet | GL $3.75 at GG Bet
When: May 13, 2023 | 11:30 CET
Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/blastpremier)

This series between world no. 3 Natus Vincere and world no.35 GamerLegion appears to be one of the more lop-sided series of the opening round, with the top seed of the Legends Stage taking on the bottom and 16th seed.

Natus Vincere are coming into the BLAST.tv Paris Major as the equal-third favourite to go all the way, and they will come up against the team with the longest odds, who had to qualify through the Challengers Stage to make the main event. NaVi compete against the best CS:GO teams in the world each and every tournament, while this be GamerLegions second S-Tier event for the year.

We are currently getting $1.90 for Natus Vincere to win this best-of-one by six rounds or more and we think that is great odds for a match that looks very one-sided.

FNATIC vs NINJAS IN PYJAMAS CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAIL

Best Odds: Fnatic $2.00 at GG Bet | NiP $1.72 at GG Bet
When: May 13, 2023 | 13:00 CET
Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/blastpremier)

Fnatic were very impressive in Europe RMR A, where they won three straight matches against Vipero, 1WIN and B8 to finish second and qualify automatically for the Legends Stage as the fourth seed. Meanwhile, Ninjas in Pyjamas had to go through the Challengers Stage to make their way into the Legends Stage, but they were one of the most impressive and surprising teams at the opening stage of the Major, winning three of their four series to qualify as the 13th seed.

Although Fnatic, the world no.15, may have had an easier RMR run to qualify for the Major, you have to beat the teams that are put in front of you, much like NiP did in the Challengers Stage. The last time these teams met in a best-of-one series at the IEM Rio Major, Fnatic won 16-13, and we expect a similar tight contest here.

FURIA vs MONTE CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAIL

Best Odds: FURIA $1.66 at GG Bet | Monte $2.10 at GG Bet
When: May 13, 2023 | 13:00 CET
Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/blastpremier)

FURIA will hold all the hopes of Brazilian Counter-Strike fans, as they will be the only Brazilian team left in the BLAST.tv Paris Major, and they will take on Monte in their opening round series of the Legends Stage.

The all-Brazilian roster of FURIA is currently ranked as the eighth best team in the world. FURIA were dominant in their RMR, winning all four of their series to earn automatic qualification into the Legends Stage and they are coming off a fifth-sixth-place finish at IEM Rio 2023 at their last event. Monte was very good in the Challengers Stage, where they pushed FaZe Clan and defeated TheMongolz and paiN Gaming, but they dont have the quality to beat a team like FURIA.

Most esports betting sites are offering a 2.5 round handicap for FURIA, and we are more than happy to take that, as we anticipate a rather comfortable victory for the favourites in this clash.

HEROIC vs FAZE CLAN CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAIL

Best Odds: Heroic $1.72 at GG Bet | FaZe $2.00 at GG Bet
When: May 13, 2023 | 14:30 CET
Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/blastpremier)

The fifth series of the day will feature two teams that know each other very well, with the no.1 team in the world Heroic taking on world no.5 FaZe Clan. These two met twice in the BLAST Premier Fall Final in November of last year both teams splitting the meetings, while they split both of their best-of-one series at the BLAST Premier Fall Groups in August last year.

So far this year, Heroic as finished second at IEM Katowice, fifth-eighth at ESL Pro League 17 and second at IEM Rio 2023, so they will be looking to break their streak of good performances and win their first Major as an organisation.

As for their opponents, FaZe Clan, the European roster and recently awarded Intel Grand Slam winners showed that they are here to win in the Challengers Stage of the Paris Major. Even with their loss to ENCE thrown in the mix, FaZe look to be back at their best and they are one team that you dont want to face late in the tournament.

Four of the last five maps between these two have covered the 26.5 total maps line, so we will be backing that into salute once again in this series.

INTO THE BREACH vs APEKS CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAIL

Best Odds: ITB $2.62 at GG Bet | Apeks $1.44 at GG Bet
When: May 13, 2023 | 14:30 CET
Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/blastpremier)

One of the more interesting series of the opening round will be the matchup between Into The Breach and Apeks, with both teams being ranked outside the top 25 in the world, but they are the sixth and 11th seed, respectively. When it gets to the pointy end of the BLAST.tv Paris Major, we dont expect to see either of these teams there, but it if they can rattle off a couple of early wins, who knows how far they can go.

Into The Breach qualified through the Europe RMR A after they finished third. Apeks had to go through the Challengers Stage where they were one of the more impressive teams, making history in their 16-0 trashing of Grayhound, becoming the second team to ever win 16-0 at a Major.

Apeks were dominated by G2 in their first promotion series 0-2, while Into The Breach pushed Natus Vincere to double overtime in a thrilling 19-22 loss in their opening RMR series, which indicates to us that the outsiders in this match is a better bet here.

BAD NEWS EAGLES vs ENCE CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAIL

Best Odds: BNE $2.62 at GG Bet | ENCE $1.44 at GG Bet
When: May 13, 2023 | 16:00 CET
Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/blastpremier)

Bad News Eagles are coming off a fourth-place finish in the Europe RMR A and a second-place finish at ESL Challenger Melbourne 2023 at their most recent event, before going into the Legends Stage the BLAST.tv Paris Major. Their opponents and world no.9 ENCE appears to be back at their best, after they went through the Challengers Stage undefeated and qualified as the ninth seed.

ENCE defeated OG, Ninjas in Pyjamas and FaZe Clan in their Challengers Stage run, which was the toughest run of games of any team, in our opinion. Coming up against Bad News Eagles in their opening match of the Legends Stage will be at a similar level, so we could have a very good series on our hands here, and the gap between the two in the market is too big.

At the IEM Rio 2023 Europe Closed Qualifier these two played out back-to-back 16-12 maps, so with the total rounds sitting at 26.5 rounds, we are more than happy to back them to cover the line.

TEAM VITALITY vs G2 ESPORTS CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAIL

Best Odds: Vitality $2.00 at GG Bet | G2 $1.72 at GG Bet
When: May 13, 2023 | 16:00 CET
Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/blastpremier)

Along with the Heroic vs FaZe Clan clash earlier in the day, this match between Team Vitality and G2 Esports will be one of the better best-of-one series for the opening round of the Legends Stage.

Team Vitality is currently the world no.2 in CSGO esports and are coming off a strong performance at IEM Rio 2023 where they won six-straight series to take out the $250,000 tournament in late April. Vitality was victorious last time these teams met, at the BLAST.tv Paris Major Europe RMR B, where they took the series 2-0 (16-13, 16-8).

G2 Esports had to settle for a Challengers Stage spot, after they struggled in the Europe RMR B, with that loss to Vitality sending knocking them out in fifth place. The former world no.1 team dropped to no.4 in the world after they finished in 9th-12th place at ESL Pro League 17. G2 are the current esports betting sites favourite, so no matter the result in this match, we expect them to go a long way and challenge for the Major title.

With both teams playing a high level and wanting to make a strong statement in their opening series, we will be taking the overs in the total maps market.
