LGD vs LNG LPL Spring betting preview
LGD Gaming and LNG Esports will lock horns in the second match of the 2020 LPL Spring Split on Monday, shortly after the titanic clash between Invictus Gaming and FunPlus Phoenix.
LNG Esports, previously known as Snake Esports, enter their second LPL Season hoping they can improve on their sixth-place finish in the LPL 2019 Summer playoffs, where they crashed out against Royal Never Give Up in the quarter-finals.

It was a fairly busy off-season for LNG, who parted ways with head coach Zhu “KenZhu” Kai, positional coach Hu “GuYueXin” Xin, support Hu “Maestro” Jian-Xin, jungler Lê “SofM” Quang Duy, and mid laners Huang “Fenfen” Chen and Bae “Plex” Ho-young.
On the other side, LNG signed Liao Jia-Ming as their new analyst and former Flash Wolves coach Lin “Cyo” Hsin-Yu as their new head tactician. LNG also brought in former Top Esports jungler Xiong “Xx” Yu-Long, Suning mid laner Huang “Maple” Yi-Tang, former EDG Youth Team support Liao “lwandy” Ding-Yang and ADC Wang “Light” Guang-Yu, who spent the last six months with LNG Academy.
With those changes, LNG enter 2020 with two new members in their starting lineup – Xx and Maple, who will join Li “Flandre” Xuan-Jun, Duan “Duan” De-Liang and Lu “Asura” Qi.

With the new arrivals, LNG’s new roster looks to be much stronger than what they fielded last season. Keeping ahold of Asura – arguably one of the top-five ADC mains of the 2019 LPL Spring Split – was a great move, while LNG’s decision to sign Maple and Xx will add some much-needed quality to the team.
LGD head into their opening fixture of the 2020 LPL Spring Season following a rather poor ninth-12th place finish at the Demacia Cup 2019, where they crashed out of the tournament before making it to the playoffs. They defeated Gama Dream and Victory Five in the group stage but failed to see the same success against two LPL teams in Top Esports and EDward Gaming.
Once one of the best teams in the LoL Pro League, LGD ended last season 11th in LPL Spring and 14th in LPL Summer while also finishing NEST 2018 in fifth-eighth and NEST 2019 ninth-16th.

In the off-season, LGD signed a handful of new players and made some changes to their coaching personnel. In November, LGD promoted their long-standing jungler Xie “Eimy” Dan to assistant coach and signed former KT Rolster tactician Oh “ZanDarC” Chang-jong as their new head coach. Former coach Yang “UDJ” Shu-Wei and Choi “Cammly” Won-ho left in December.
LGD also bolstered their roster, signing former Gen.G jungler Han “Peanut” Wang-ho, Rogue Warriors support Liu “Killua” Dan-Yang, former LNG mid laner Huang “Fenfen” Chen and former EDG Youth Team top laner Chen “Cult” Guo-Ji.
The most exciting of those acquisitions is Peanut, who finished the 2019 LCK Summer Split with the fifth-highest KDA (3.58), fourth-highest CSPM (5.24) and 69.9% KPAR. While consistency has become an issue for him in recent times, a strong season from the Korean star might be enough to push LGD into the top 10.
LGD Gaming vs LNG Esports LPL betting predictions
Although both teams have made several important changes to their roster and coaching personnel, we feel like LNG are the better prepared team.
Yuuki, while a solid mid laner, will have a hard time stacking up with Maple, while we are slightly concerned whether Peanut will be able to defeat Xx. The top lane seems like it can go either way, while LNG hold an advantage in the bottom lane.
All things considered, LNG should come out ahead. If everything falls into place for Maple, we might even see a clean sweep.
Prediction: LNG Esports to win – $1.60 at GG Bet
